You are totally, totally missing the point. This is not analogous to the French resistence in WWII, where insurrection had a noble and realistic goal. This kind of terrorism accomplishes nothing other than perpetuating the misery of the Iraqi people.

So it's not when would I stop, it's that I wouldn't start at all. It is an idiotic approach. At best it is sort of a poison pill to discourage future operations. Don't try to take us over or we will kill ourselves and destroy our own country.

The Iraqi people are being manipulated by their religious and ethnic leaders into fighting us and each other, not for the benefit of the people, but for the benefit of those leaders. The average Iraqi would be far, far better off accepting the new government than fighting against it.
