I'm a female, play a female, at least MOST of the time, when I'm not a dragon.

You're.

I've seen "you'r" (possessive, not "you are";) by two different people today. I really hope the grid opens again soon, people are losing their minds.

I am Cross Gendered in RL and play CG in SL. Sorry you have an intolerance to Cross Gendered people, but I can understand, I don't agree with people who spell Cinthya with a Y LOL

Don't turn this into a flame thread. You're name is not properly spelled either so hush.

I was reffering to cross gender in online worlds where you can't see the real person. In the real world I don't have a problem with people that do. In the real world you can see who you'r dealing with in the online worlds you can't.

So I ment nothing personial to anyone who does in the real world.

Girl in both lifes

Thank goodness for voice chat. I like men and that is what I choose to be with in SL as well as RL:) But if I liked girls...maybe having a male AV would be good..but then again I wouldnt want that done to me! Like I said, voice chat:)

I wish there was "You're an X and play both a female and a male" or "You're an X and play an asexual character" either of which would be more true for me.
I play-
A female human
A female toon skunk
An asexual were-mink
An asexual squid
A male wolf-gryphon

and I'm really a girl

Kitsune? Tanuki?

Well, by your name I would say you are a furry.

It seems in SL, so far, only furries play herms.

I've yet to meet a person who wasn't a furry, but yet a herm.

I guess it's a furry thing.

You shouldn't judge people by their name, if you did, I guess I would be a biblical garden? Maybe the Kitsune likes foxes or maybe Kitsune Udon? Who knows. Really folks, i don't think it is all that important unless you're trying to develope a Sl-originated releationship outside SL.

And I know plenty of furries who are not herm at all, so to say it is a furry things is like saying lung cancer is a smoking thing. It truely amazes me that in a fictional, user created environment, people carry their prejudices and judgement into it and cast it upon others. If you do not like a certain portion of the population, so be it, but at least respect them. The Pagan Romans persecuted Christians and now it's the oposite. You never know.

"YOU'RE?"

-no.- 'you are av vs. you are gender??' lol... -no.-

"your a male, and play a male"

Should be "You're a male, and play a male" etc..

Gender Dysphoria - Those who suffer transsexualism
07-19-2006 18:41
Well there are those who are suffering Transsexualism.. so wether they be M2F for F2M, I suppose they like all of use choose I MIND Gender.. not what our body looks like in real life.

This is a Mind game, so it is the mind, not body we talk to..

I suppose it would get weird when people meet in person .. Live on earth so to say.

I have seen in these types of environments.. girls acting as guys as they don't want to get chatted up every 5 minutes..

So does it really matter what people chose?..

The planet called Earth where people live the real world, the really real world, where you eat and sleep. Im very open minded in that world.

Only problem I would have is if I found a male that interested me (not looking have a very handsome one already.RL & SL ) then I later find out that who I thought was a male was indeed a female.
Yes, this is a terrible sort of deception. It's rotten that there are those out there who engage in it.

I may wear avatars of varying genders at random times, but at no time do I practice to deceive that I am anything other than female. Never once have I pretended to be male, even when wearing a male avatar. Never once has anyone mistaken me for a male, even when I'm in a male avatar...and if they did, I'd be the first to tell them the second I notice it's happening.

Then again, I switch genders so often that I don't think anyone has time to be certain if I'm one or the other. :D Unless they read my profile, of course, which states the facts quite clearly. :3 Oh, and my name itself is pretty distinctly female, too.

Wow, in addition to being phobic about other people's online gender, you are dismissive and insulting too. How nice.

I'm very glad you engage in ad hominem arguments and I'm sure all the ladies in your sewing circle think you're a real kneeslapper when you bust those little gems of logic out.

Defining people and their beliefs is really the greatest thing on the planet, ain't it? I mean, the fact that I'm going to hell / not going to paradise according to the two biggest religions on the planet seems to be driving 99% of the violence in the world.

I think she's just a kid, Eryn. Looks at her spelling and "nyeh nyeh nyeh!!" attitude.

Actually... if I were to venture a further guess just based on attitude and displayed intelligence, I would say male and 14.

You're probably right. Teens tend to be over-concerned about other online folk's "real" gender...and if the she really IS a he, that would be too darn ironic. :D

I generally don't ask anyone about their real life gender. I figure it's none of my damn business and gods help them if they ask mine.

In fact, I usually don't ask other people about their first lives unless they volunteer the info.
