yes it was :) and please be honest, this is also multiple choice, because some people play diff gender alts, so if you have that, please post both male/male and male/female etc.

You forgot two options... for those who play BOTH genders.

Or four options, for those who play herms.

:P

I use my real life gender as my Avatar gender. This is the same no matter what online place I am.

In deference to our furry friends, you forgot a "you're a male/female and play an animal/alien/monster" choice. ;)

I have a variety of male and female avatars and I switch between them often. :o It doesn't reflect at all how I feel about my own gender (both the physical and mental aspects) in RL. I'm quite solidly female in RL, but it's just fun to mess around with many different forms in SL.

...though I do recognize having a male avatar named Eryn is a bit like being a boy named Sue. But... *shrug* :)

I don't like Cross gender. I think everyone should use the proper gender they are in RL if you're a girl in RL use a girl Avatar. if you're a RL guy use a guy avatar. if you're a robot in RL use a robot avatar. If you're pet in RL plays SL let it use a furry avatar :P

I really don't agree with cross gender, but thats my thoughts.

It's interesting that, judging by the poll as of so far, there are more women than men.

Only problem I would have is if I found a male that interested me (not looking have a very handsome one already.RL & SL ) then I later find out that who I thought was a male was indeed a female. This would piss me off. So I see no need to play the role of something opposite of who you are...but then again this is Second Life and people have their own fantasies and ways of thinking. I play female cause that is what I am in RL...don't know how to act like a male and pull it off and be convincing.

What if you don't have a gender, what box are you suppose to check then? And what about Hermaphrodites too?

So far, I've only played a female, and I am female. XD Though I dress up as guys, I don't change my gender... yet. I like the idea of cross-gender... some people don't like being girls, some don't like being boys, others like choice. If you want to know someone's real gender, just ASK them, for crying out loud. The characters almost never reflect the same LOOKS as the person playing anyway; it's a fantasy, pretty much. Never go by looks, and never decide things based on the gender people look, in RL or SL; I know a few boys who look like girls in real life, and get mistaken for them all the time.

I am a male and play a male. Males, actually as I have alts.
Sometimes I have to log my wife's char in pass money or something and it just feels odd lol.
I wouldnt know how to pass myself off as a convincing lady. Wouldnt want to though.

I am Cross Gendered in RL and play CG in SL. Sorry you have an intolerance to Cross Gendered people, but I can understand, I don't agree with people who spell Cinthya with a Y LOL

Well, by your name I would say you are a furry.

It seems in SL, so far, only furries play herms.

I've yet to meet a person who wasn't a furry, but yet a herm.

I guess it's a furry thing.

That's okay, you're just missing out on all the really hot stuff by being so close-minded.

I'd love to be a hermaphrodite... I wasn't aware it was possible.
