Hm. I was under the impression that SC was a place where people could go to express themselves freely, as opposed to the SL forums, where more stringent rules are in place. P'raps I'm wrong, but that was my impression.
An avatar is a form of expression. Not having an avatar is a form of expression. Forcing someone to have an avatar, seems to me, would go against the notion that SC is a freer place. Anyhow, unless the closing of these forums leads to an influx of people there that significantly changes the tone of the place, I won't be going. There's too much nastiness in real life. I don't need to be seeking out more of it for fun. _____________________

I have many reasons to dislike Prokofy, and I do. That doesn't mean I am not going to call out that site for what it is. Mulch and the site owner have whipped up a bunch of people into some almost cult like phenomenon. Sad part is several of them are in world friends of mine, and I wish I could talk to them about it without being subjected to that "FUCK YOU FREEDOM RAH RAH FREEDOM* mentality that has emerged over there. So I will use this alt to call them out on the hypocrisy of claiming to be the most free SL forum resource while allowing mob rule to force certain people into doing things that are against their will. It's bullshit and I am fucking disappointed in my friends. Not that they would apparently give a flying fuck, because they're all high on whatever the hell it is thats wafting around over there. |
