From: Margaret Mfume I'm just curious myself. What is the big deal about an avatar in the first place? Can you explain outside of this scenario(i.e. without saying, yet again, that all Prok had to do was get one)? Sansari spoke to it a bit in the other thread but failed to explain the import. I guess I'm dense. I mean, if anything goes except for only 2 rules, why this (what seems silly to me) obsession with an avatar? Actually the moderator is obsessed with cheese logs too but we try to keep that a secret... Tess

From: Weedy Herbst You would welcome that behavior and invite them to stay? Absolutely; where else will you find free drama of such quality (okay, aside from billion other forums all across the 'net, but still...)

From: Weedy Herbst That's all it was..... a joke at Prok's expense. It occured really early in the morning and Prok removed it soon there after. That's the short of it, now we are seeing the overblown long of it. I think jokes at /anyone's/ expense are a particularly nasty form of cruelty. I read somewhere once that the only form of humor that didn't require a victim was the pun ... and some have said /that/ is debatable. It's too bad so many people are so insensitive to those around them that jokes at someone else's expense are acceptable. It's too bad they dont spend some time thinking about how it would feel to be the on the other end of the stick ... and maybe allow some of their finer traits, like generosity and compassion, to dictate their actions. So .. I think the joke mis-fired, and to paraphrase some famous queen .... "We were not amused."

I would be inclined to agree with you that it is being drawn out, but some people are still being very serious about this business of imposing avatars on others. coco

From: Mother Stuchka coco, i know we fucked and all, but you gotta stop making these statements about me and what is happening at SC. " Only after some talk was it removed again, this time for good." it was not removed by me. prok removed it. and it is not removed for good. that's all im saying about it right now. but the lack of a return from the fucktard avie does not mean it aint changing again. 1. FIC gives PN bitchin' fucktard avie 2. PN removes fucktard avie! 3. FIC returns fucktard avie to PN! 4. much later, PN removes fucktard avie again thats how it went coco. its not over, kitten. <3 Let me correct my wording then: Prok removed it and it was put back. Prok removed it again and this time it was let alone. I really think taking such a strong stand over this issue really isn't worth it. I think you should consider Kendra's idea. coco

From: Weedy Herbst Lets say you ran a board, then did something as a gag to a member. Then that member gets an alt and accuses you of 1- Banning them, 2- Condeming by telling others to avoid the site, 3- Create a conspiracy that it's all about removing freedoms, 4- Generates personal attacks of you and your friends. You would welcome that behavior and invite them to stay? If all those things were to happen, I wouldn't want them to stay, no. But I doubt I would ban them or their alt. Which is all pretty much beside the point, since I don't believe that Solaris is his alt. coco

coco i  kendra and i have seen what you are talking about i also think kendras new avatar is the shit having premade avatars for when people sign up is a great idea, and is possible to do, and im going to reply to that on SC soon. however that doesnt mean people WILL pick one of those avatars. but its an additional feature i have no problem setting up. however, its additional, not in place of whats to come.

From: Siggy Romulus The only moderately interesting/funny thing about it is that it happened to Prok - and has the 'usual suspects' in an indignant uproar. I don't especially want to turn this into a fight with you, Siggy, but you might want to back up a step on that little remark. I seriously don't think Lorelei or Io either one are the "usual suspects" by any estimation. I know for a fact that neither Troll Dougall nor myself are. Furthermore, I have a very specific reason to dislike Prokofy personally (and I'm pretty sure Troll does as well). You're in such a hurry, I suspect, to dismiss anything that might even slightly favor Prokofy that you're not really paying attention to who is saying what here. And I very much do not appreciate being casually lumped in with the "pro-Prokofy" people just because I choose to think and decide for myself on this.

Hilarious. Has anyones else noticed the glaring lack of any res-modding going on the past couple of days ? I'm laughing. BTW, there is still world hunger, droughts, famine and needless killing going on. Unplug people.

ironic about the resmodding though, because mulch's thread which came before this one was locked for review, then stayed closed per torleys edit (Last edited by Torley Linden : Today at 01:02 PM. Reason: Reviewed by Linden - this thread remains closed, please see /invalid_link.html) according to the rule, flaming spamming and trolling which includes posting a message that is intended to incite anger, or directly attack a person or persons. how did this thread slip by the radar? feels like we're operating on homing missles with very specific targets locked in advance. nice. hey mulch, what do you think about this? oh shit, hes banned. but he's not without a voice click it
