Damanios, that's downright incredible.
I don't come in-game much these days, but I feel a weekend fly-by coming on...

Some shots of my latest build in Kamba (still under construction). Made in the well known greek-arabic art nouveau style (...) It's gorgeous, but your prim count scares me ![]() _____________________

I moved into an abandoned church in Oberstdorf. I should've known from the odd railings that it was evil... I chased out the squaters who had set a mattress on fire. Also the cross must have been blown down during a storm. It smashed through the roof and is in one of the rooms upstairs... I pushed the pews against the walls to unclutter the place, but I still need to repaint and clean the grafitti off of the bricks... Very cool Jensen. understated yet powerful and scary. |

House of Cards?
12-14-2004 09:10
Toby, I'm glad to see you are not a trial player or a disappeared player.
You might want to post a screenshot of the home you placed on your lot in Wetheral. It's literally a house of cards. The first time I saw it I was delighted, I thought it was great. It didn't bother me. I bought land in the area. Then I began to see lots of other visitors and neighbors saying they didn't like this house of cards, and were sick of looking at it. Some didn't buy because of it. They backed off. I first saw these type of cards at the Japanese exhibit in the 1964 World's Fair in New York City as a child. I still have them in RL! They're great! ...Except...by the 97th time you've looked at them. I'm wondering if they devalue the whole area's property? It seems like a kind of novelty item that you might put out once for a short time but not keep their week after week where it scares people away. You never appear to actually live in it. But I'm just trying to open a discussion here. What do other people think? |

Minoru Studio Design and Market
12-14-2004 17:30
Here are some snapshots of what I call home:
Minoru Studio Design and Market #1 Minoru Studio Design and Market #2 Minoru Studio Design andMarket #3 It started out as a large 2-story studio for some of my photographs, but over time it expanded as I acquired more land. A large geometrical deck area behind the main building was constructed, then two smaller buildings in the back with a covered walkway between them. I added an extensive walkway with various observation decks and a covered porch. After that I created the waterfalls and landscaping. I had too much deck space (think I still do) so I added several small to medium structures. Finally since I ran out of land, I expanded underneath the main structures and created a unique art gallery to show off some of my favorite artists (still under construction). The small and medium buildings scattered around the complex now host the goods of several asian desginers. I think that was the perfect finishing touch to this creation I started over a month ago. I'd like to say I planned it all, but it was really just grew as I added more land. Now I'm out ![]() ![]() - Minoru |

Don't need a home -- construction sites are more fun! Like my 27 prim ice gazebo currently floating near the sun....

Bright Center of the Universe, Barnesworth Anubis Ack, Barnes, that siggy (not copied here to do it justice) is almost getting as big as a Stratics siggy! You wouldn't believe how many ppl ask me if there are movies inside your cinema, pretty soon I will have to put something in there to satisfy the masses... |

Thought I'd post an update to my home, since it's closer to being finished. I've pretty much completed the exterior and added a moat/waterfall feature to it. holy jumpin'! It's so Disney-esque! Nice work, as usual. |

If Juro says revive then who am I to argue?
Coincidentally my SOMA loft in Winnipeg that I just LOVE, cliff side, overlooking the river, surrounded by trees was designed by him as well. ![]() _____________________

Cool thread. I love seeing all the possibilities in architecture in SL
![]() ![]() The house below was designed by my best friend Hippip Herrey, his first big building project. Mulch and I love living here, and I love redecorating/retexturing as the mood strikes me. |

Thanks to Jauani's kind revival of the thread I thought I would take a break from photographing everyone else's builds and upload a shot of my current residence in Andromeda.

Here is my current project in progress. An insane asylum. This is modeled after the Buffalo State Hospital in NY. I've included the reference picture. I hope it looks that good when it's done.
Many thanks to my pal Xen Majestic for helping with the textures on this one. |
