actually you were banned about 1-1.5 hours after the conversation you posted above...
You stood at the gates of Avilion, on the Avilion Mist side, until the Ancient (admin) that told you you had to put something over the cod piece to enter left for the day, and you ran past everyone, clicked the gate open and took off into Avilion, thinking that with the crowd that was there you woulnd't be seen.
WRONG!! you were ejected and banned 1/2 way to the Drum Circle.

There's a big name over your head and a green dot on the minimap. Plus, everyone runs at the same danged speed! I'm sorry you guys had to put up with this moron, but honestly, I would have laughed like a hyena when he took off wearing BDSM gear like some sort of escaped mental patient and you banned him. You should have frozen him and decorated him like a Christmas tree before you let him go.

From: Czari Zenovka I wasn't trying to "test" Luskwood in any way.
However after your post...I'm honestly not real keen to return. Why's that, because I discussed some things that I've seen recur over the years? The point is still a valid one -- Many folks *expect* themed or 'subculture' sims to be inherently exclusive. It's a preconception we've had to fight on and off over the years, in part because of how -other- furry areas have behaved. The presumption tends to travel with some folks, and, as Tengu said, some arrive with a chip already on their shoulder. Now, I'm a bit confused as to how this somehow alienates you -more?- I stated that we aren't exclusive, and those who state we are, usually have -some- sort of predefined notion that they've brought with them and generally "find what they're looking for". Oh, sure, it's possible to encounter rude person in Luskwood. No one can control the behavior of every visitor to their area. I've encountered rude people at Home Depot or Best Buy too, but that's really got nothing to do with the administration. My position is that as a policy, Luskwood doesn't exclude. (The caveat i'll place here again -- except on intent to disrupt or cause trouble. Again, there's a reason i'm putting this exception in, and it's got nothing to do with you, Czari. I'm putting it in, because if I don't, ten minutes after this post we'll have some naked guy with looping profane soundspam showing up on the platform screaming 'I thought Luskwood didn't exclude!') Also if we see someone "excluding in our name", we will put a stop to it. But we can't be everywhere, and we can't see everything. I wish we could greet everyone; but there are many, many reasons why a "failure to greet" could have happened - few of them malicious. This holds true for many venues in SL. I'm sure I could -go- to a Gorean sim and eventually find someone who treated me horribly beacuse I'm furry. That sort of thing isn't an accurate metric on the community as a whole. I've "wallflowered" at many clubs and hangouts in SL. It's especially tough to take that first step in places where many of the folks already know eachother. But that doesn't mean that I, or anyone else, would be explicitly unwelcome. Furthermore, I didn't state that you did that. I wasn't there, I didn't see the interactions. So if this doesn't apply to you, then by all means, please do not wear it. I'm not trying to project it onto you. For the most part, I'm providing a bit of an explanation to the general public about how these sort of things tend to come to pass. The entirety of the transaction is really very simple: If a person wants to hang out, treat people well, and you'll be treated well in return. If someone doesn't want to hang out, then that's okay, too. (It's been years since "traffic" or "dwell" has provided any sort of benefit to SL venues.) Whether you engaged in this or not, I feel the explanation and set of observations from our side of the fence was germane to the discussion, as far as "welcomeness" goes in SecondLife. The issue has come up before, and I believe it's more of a question of social models overall versus the policy of a particular area.

From: Malakh Giles For what it is worth, should anyone like to see what he was wearing when the OP was remove from the sim, feel free to IM me. I don't think dragons would have worn fetish wear with a cod piece now would you? The sim is a private estate, if you don't want to be there, then you can leave. You can always link the pic here from photobucket or something. I am sure someone that is ok with naming names and posting chat logs would be cool with that.

Since it Donner/Donder and Blitzen, I have to assume it should be Donner - then Donner and Blitzen translates into Thunder and Lightning from German. My German is pretty weak, but I don't remember "Donder" as meaning anything. Wasn't Santa Claus German?

Thunder and Lightening are much more plausable and yes, the entire Santa franchise started in Germany as I recall. So on donner..

From: Macphisto Angelus I go with your theory. Thunder and Lightening are much more plausable and yes, the entire Santa franchise started in Germany as I recall. So on donner.. Yes it is, so you can judge for yourselves. from donder.com: In the initial publication of the poem, Santa's last two reindeer were called "Dunder and Blixem" . Later publications show the names "Donder and Blitzen". Martin Gardner, editor of The Annotated Night Before Christmas, points to a handwritten copy of the poem, written by Moore in the year before he died, in which he calls the reindeer "Donder and Blitzen" . It is clear that Moore himself wanted the reindeer named Donder and Blitzen. One hundred and sixteen years after Clement Clark Moore first named the reindeer, the name "Donner" replaced "Donder" in the publication of the 1939 story book Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, written by Robert L. May. A decade after the book was published "Donner" was further cemented into American consciousness when Gene Autry recorded Johnny Mark's song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. "Donner" is Thunder and "Blitzen" is Lightning in German. So, I understand how the mistake occurred. Nevertheless, the poem was readily available to refer to in libraries across the country. Shame on Mr. May and Mr. Marks for not doing their research properly before publishing their work. What right had they to change an American classic?

Clement Clark Moore should have boned up on his German before he misspelled Donner's name. "Dunder" is a stupid name for a reindeer. Also, did he somehow purchase naming rights on the reindeer? If so, from whom? It's possible the names predated his poem and he just screwed them up - probably a function of his well-known hypothetical drinking problem that I just made up to support my theory.
In short, he had no right to name the reindeer in the first place, but even if he was the first to do so, parol evidence sufficiently establishes that it was his intent to name the two reindeer "Donner and Blitzen" and his poor command of the german language and sloppy editing and research skills do not excuse him in the least. His later attempt to correct his mistake is admirable, but just as ill-fated as his original attempt.
