Wyrms is a good place, but... even they have some rules as if they are run by humans not dragons. It is an pretty good place.

/me double-takes

Hang on - you mean actual dragons sitting in their mother's basements typing away at the keyboard? I'm confused by this post.

The thing that highly amuses me here is that 16th to 17th century is looong past medieval times, which ran from the 800s up to the 12th or topmost 13th century. If we wanna be lax, we can include the 14th, but I think Columbus might object. ;)

If I remember Medieval: Total War correctly, it ended in 1560. When the day comes that I cannot base my opinions on a video game reliably, it will be a dark day indeed.

Someday… People will be able to judge you by who you are, which is a being worthy of a chance to prove yourself and show them who you are and not to base it on what you look like or how people perceive you to be based on what you have, how you look, what you wear….

Right. But in the mean time, put some god damned pants on.

From: Dragon Muir
For one country to ask an ambassador or foreigner to abandon all their traditions and abandon their own is highly disrespectful.

Asking them to wear pants, though, is probably acceptable.

We have a restaurant here that if you wear a tie, they cut it off just below the knot and nail it to the wall.

... we now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

There would be bloodshed if they did that to me, you can depend on it.

I don't think I will wade into this morass of a thread on the subject except to say this:

Any Dragon using the word "Poser" and then turning around and calling onself a "Furry" in the same thread needs to be slain.. by Don Quixote, on his magnificent steed El Burro, using a sharpened toothpick as a lance, repeatedly.

As for the rest of you, bravo! Got some good chuckles from it all. :)

"Dragon" Muir: If you come to the Isle of Wyrms, be assured that we also have very stringent rules about dress code and behavior. Probably not as strict as Avillion, as we don't enforce any kind of RP (we're just Dragons *shrug*), but the Isle is *our* home, so *our* rules apply just as well as Avillion's apply to theirs.

All that said, Avillion is a cool place, owned and run by cool people *wingwaves to Serenity*, so I would tend to think that, given how you posted here, you were the one more out of line than anyone there.

If you had even a spark of Draconic Honor in you, you'd clean up your OP and apologize to the Avillion staff for dragging them into your "entitlement" drahma llamaing.

Keep wading and you'll find the picture of Dragon Muir. That will clear up any lingering doubt you might have about who was out of line and who wasn't.

People..er...dragons like you, Talarus, do more to improve the image of SL dragons than anyone like the OP could ever do to hurt it.

QFT

Though the outfit was a very meh moment, I suspect the attitude we saw in the OP and thereafter was the real reason for the boot in the ass.

So can I take my Bast dragon to Avillion, or would the whole Egyptian thing be a no no? :D

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Egypt existed in Medieval times. Also, dragons, being winged, are highly mobile. Avilion is more of a European build, but there is no reason to believe a dragon with a little wanderlust couldn't have easily made it from Egypt to wherever Avilion is supposed to be. Tell them you are passing through on your way to visit your cousin who works in an iceberg melting plant in Norway. Or you are part of the Rotary International Peace Exchange Program. You were headed to the New World that they haven't discovered yet and your compass broke, or you KNEW you should have taken a left turn at Albequerque.

You can always steal my schtick which is either diplomatic envoy or student exchange program.

Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics - it doesn't matter whether you win or lose, you're still a retard.

Check your retardation level at http://www.msnbc.com/modules/newsweek/autism_quotient/

i'm being absolutly serious here. should i be worried that i scored 35?
(most people with asperger syndrome or high functioning autism score about 35)

i filled the form out truthfully too....

anyone else do it?

I scored an 18. Calling it a "retardation" test is just Conan's way of trying to hurt people. It's not really that at all. There are people on the forums here who have children with autism and Asbergers and calling their children retards is, of course, tremendously hurtful to them. Frankly, hurting people so you can get the attention you crave is much more of a concern from a social retardation perspective than having Asbergers or autism.

If you're getting on fine in life, then don't worry about it. If it bothers you, see a doctor. You are never going to get an accurate result from a magazine or internet test.

I have heard occasionally that the Dragons got it hard especially the real ones they got to compete with the wannabee Dragons in freebie green suits and anti-Dragon believes from others.
I don't know I think it is time for the Dragons to start there own Dragon-centric movement and have a Dragon only community and eat the trespassers and any other offenders.
That will show those fake Dragons and Dragon haters!
Dragons Revolt, take the power back from the man!
Please just don't roast and eat this tiny elf if you run into me.
By the way what makes a real Dragon versus fake one I often been curious about this?

Naugahyde.
