same as Rhianna said, if anyone should need an invite just lemme know, they changed how it works a few months ago, once you are in, you can invite anyone, all members have that ability now, we just can't change your role. Not only do i get to see and buy some wonderul freebies through the group, I find out about stores I would never have known about and have gone back to several as a return paying customer

it is just a script I made with some help from a friend, that gives the item when touched, and emails me a report each day of who touched it (as long as the email works hehe)

I did not buy the script, so not sure if it exists anywhere or not, and I am not selling it at this time either

OK, a post from me about blogs.

First of all, I keep an eye on many of the SL blogs, from shopping (esp. the men's stuff) to general SL news. And I just found out that *all* of us who have freebies in our stores got blogged the other day:

So if you've had a bit more traffic in the past couple of days, that might be the reason. I don't know how wide the readership for that blog is, but like Amara said, any exposure is good!

To those asking which blog to get, I opted for Wordpress. I originally got a Blogger blog, but ditched it within a day because it didn't offer me all the options I wanted. Wordpress has good stats and a lot more custom templates than Blogger, from what I could see. If you're not sure which to get, then get both! They're free, after all. With Wordpress you can choose to make posts private (not sure about Blogger, but it's probably an option) so you can afford to play around, make some private posts and see which platform best handles your needs regarding things like posting images, tagging, stats options, etc. Then you can stick with the one you like and delete the other one.

Just looked for it (first time back on the forums since I posted). Is it on your blog? (I admit to fatigue so I'm probably missing it). I've seen those types as well which look lovely...but no clue how to do that either...although I could probably figure it out eventually.

Now that I'm thinking of it, I DO recall seeing yours...with the lovely music. Gosh this thread is so jam-packed with info I forget. Will have to look into that...I loved it. Rha has a fun one on her Blog as well.

After I made my first piece of jewelry with tiny prims, that is my personal favorite now and I can't WAIT til I have time to experiment with some ideas percolating in my mind.

Hahahahaha yes..... I run a club. But i tend to build at the club while working. The advantage of making small things i guess is you can mke the anywher you can build.

Thoughthis can be dangerous when you also own the club, which folats 450 up and accidently deleted while meaning to delete a prim and you watch 30 female avies falling outof the sky (but you dont fall cos your on a beanbag) HAHAHAH

Ok thanks Rhaorth, i'll have a look around see if i can find anything to that effect. I've never thought of trying doing a video and putting it on youtube, i mean spend alot of time on there but mainly too watch music videos lol.

LOL Czari i do actually have a social life of a sort on SL, i'm into roleplaying and i've just started up in Deadwood. It's actually wonderfull everyone is very friendly and helpful. It's set 1870 in a Western.

I have been thinking about the idea of reputation as a creator in SL and I think this is an imortant point to make. This can truely make or break someone in so many ways. It is well known in RL that if you have a bad product, bad service, bad anythign with a shop you will complain to 10 of your friends and mostwont take that complaint to the store. That is also true in SL but on a larger scale. With more friends in easier contact, more socialisation you can bet your bottom dollar that if someone recieves a bad product or especially bad service they will comment about it to their 20 nearest and dearest.

I have had two incidences of this not as the creator, but on the other side recently. One was actually at a freebie hunt where one of the deigners on the sim had set their box being used for the hunt for L100. May of my friends were caught out by this, none of us picking up on the 100L th box was set at. May would say suk it up. As did botht the sim own and creator the freebie box was placed in. This however left a bad taste in my mouth. They had advertised asomethign (a freebie hunt) we had come and were supporting them (by being on their sim, adding to traffic etc), and yet I was told to simply suck it up. No apology nothing.

Anothr incident I had was in the mall at my club. I had two renters leave recently. Both simply packed their spaces and left with no word to either myself or my mall manager. There was one day left on one and one was overdue by 5 hours when i noticed them. I IMed both to comfirm their intentions were t leave the spot. However I was already a little miffed that they had not spoken to either myself or my mall manager, considering my mall manager checks in periodically etc to make sure things are ok. One did not even have the curtesy to respond.

Both of these incidences left me feeling frustrated/annoyed/ a bit miffed at the store owners. In neither case was it entirely their fault, hwoever it made me realise on reflection that it is these sorts of little things which will make me decide to shop at one stoe or another if they both sell similar items. Why would i shop at the store where the shop owner on a previous occassion hasnt taken the time to communicate, or has brushed me off?

I guess the point of my ramblings is we need to be aware of how our comunication with our customers, and even socially comes across because this can affect our businesses. It is a little thing but it can have big impact

I used Windows Movie Maker to get it done- and the music was added for me because I missed where to add it - but it looks pretty nice- I will do another one when I have enough new releases.

Meantime- last night I applied to be added to the Free*style group as a designer, so waiting on that. Today I sent invites to the peeps that had visited and or bought something of late. Also- a real world artist with an SL presence has consented to display his art in Talon Faire and we will be having a little soirée for him soon - hopefully this will be to our mutual benefit- one of his displays is already there but I will make a formal announcement when he is read. He is on display internationally in RL and has had different venues in SL.

I've not really got any members other than me and another person. I've always been wary of just flinging invites too people i don't know. I always thought people hated that, was i wrong?
