Wow I sent out a notice to one freebie group and within 10 minutes had given away 42 freebies and sold 2 gowns!
I ran down to check it out and my greeter (set to greet each av only once) was going off the wall greeting each new person...I yanked the script right out of it lol _____________________

I'm only in one so far, it is Fabulously Free in SL. Very easy to join just pull it up and click it. I went to the website to read the rules, and all you do is send an IM to the group when you have a freebie. I sent the message and they started landing within seconds...within 30 seconds, my store was packed.

Fbabulously free in SL and Freestyle are the two biggest and most active. There are a few smaller ones but i couldnt justify their group space to be honest. I found when sending out a notice to them I would get maybe one person.
Also stagger your group notices to the freebie groups if you can. Manypeople belong to both, and you will find that if you send them both at the same time of day then people miss your freebie. Too many notices to wade through when they log on etc. If youget someone when theyare already logged on they are much more likely to come. I offered a limited edition of my new fan which wont be sold as a freebie last night when i released my new fans. I had an amazing response. Over 1000L in sales (hehehe thats like 25 items of mine). I am very excited. This mens that when i get people in they do want to buy from me. My stuff is good. I just need people to find my stuff _____________________

They have wayy less notices than freestyle, so their notices are noticed more when people log in from offline. An IM will onlyever reach the peole online. Whcihat any one point would be no more than 1/2 the group probably less _____________________

/me thinks she needs to hurry up and offer freebies. So what sort of things should you offer up for freebies????? any suggestions??? I tend to use parts of my collection and have them as limited time freebies. Or do a special colour as a freebie. Although I like Rha's idea for clothes and it is what my patner and I use for her stuff. Take one item out of an outfit. Say a top and give that away as the freebie. Although sometimes it is nice to give away the whole outfit as well. I tend to fluctuate between little freebies and the bigger ones. My newest freebie is a big one cos I ever intend to sell it. Those who pick up this freebie will be the only ones to ever own it in SL. _____________________

I have offered 'normal' merchandise as my freebies/dollarbies. I am working on the 'secret sale' right now for my store, perhaps offering a whole set .. not sure yet. I have yet to have the inspiration to create a special freebie, had no inspiration lately. It's taken me almost a week to set up the rezzers for my furniture, modify the prims on those so i can hopefully have them all out in my store, I tell ya, 117 prims don't last long at all.
I am actually listed as a designer/store owner for free*style so I can put notices out should I need to, its a great way for people to get to know about you, and to generate a few Lindens, unfortunately I have not had but a few return customers after I release a dollarbie/freebie, which is not good for ones moral. _____________________

I believe I used to be a member once upon a time, before I started creating. Perhaps join again now that I have a few slots left. I think I must be geting desperate now as my L funds are slowly draining from rent for my home, but, on the up side, I have not yet topped up my account with Real $ since 6th June, i topped up with 10,000L and have paid 900wk rent every week since then and shopped till i literally dropped, so if it ends here I had a good run ![]() _____________________

Like freestyle they let furniture makers etc send out notice. I think this is good cos all freebies are great ![]() _____________________

This is true about girls loving to shop, i have more clothes that I will ever be able to wear but it is nice to have them, I love to buy 2 things rather than create/build, thats houses and clothes .. oh and Shoooooooz! I tried my hand at making some ballet flats once, bought the sculpty texure etc and it just didn't pan out vey well. Though I admire anyone who creates anything, i think clothing designers and designers of accessories etc to wear I admire the most, and everyone here is terrific at what they create.

hehe i'm still learning prims, i can about manage a skirt now lol, i'd love too eventually do tiny prims and shoes but that will take alot more practice. Ohhh tiny prim are FUN!!! *giggles* i kind of started off there and neverreally went back to big ones. I made a few pools and the club i own but thats bout it. Tiny prims i prefer by far. Tiny rimes are preety easy.... just go into a sand box and ply (dont do itat home cos you will lose prims). Take the prim down to 0.01 on all sizes, zoom in then play with the cut, dimple, path cut features and see what each does. Almost all the items in my store involveprims which are less than .01 on at least on axis. I have also taken apart item to see how certain shapes were created, though I dont need to do that so much anymore. I can work out how to make most shapes. But i truelythink it is those little accents that turn a good prim piece into a great one you know?? Perfection is in the details. Ama? if i can every get in world I can send you a roup invite ![]() _____________________
