From: 3Ring Binder for those seeking feedback from several sources, a few days ago i did do a run of the stores that i could find that had requested it. /327/ac/274749/28.html#post2112309/327/ac/274749/28.html#post2112309no need to reply to them, i just wanted to make sure you saw another perspective if you were waiting. the thread is moving along rather quickly, and i know how fast stuff can get buried. Czari, that is a lovely gown! =D Yes I read it ..thk you for this review and also thank you for your purchase at the store ! Also about the question if I need to love RL fashion to be a good SL designer ..hmm .. that make me smile ... Speaking of me, my RL job is far far far away fashion (scientific research)... the only fashion i saw is when shopping time. I have to agree that I look a bit more at all the RL and SL fashion style actually to have idea for new releases but I,m not a RL fashion-a-holic for sure. Fashion is not boring me but of course, I,m not a fashion lover. Also, RL designer and SL designer are really not the same job. A SL Designer is a photoshop lover ... A RL Designer is a professionnal dressmaker ... really not the same thing. I love creating in SL, for me it's SL fashion, for other is building or something else but I will never create fashion in RL. About the challenge, hmmm, sorry, I will not participate ... creation is only when inspiration and fun are coming and actually nothing at all ...

From: Danielle Harrop I would take the challenge, but due to an autoreturn accident, my entire shop was gone in a flash. Now I'm starting over from scratch. Only problem is I'm lacking the motivation to create now. I feel like "why bother...it's probably not going to sell anyway". So my shop sits, very empty...what should feel like a blank canvas feels like a dead albatross around my neck. I want to create, I do...but do redo the entire thing just seems like a huge mountain. Buck up hun- it will come Look at it as a bit of serendipitous magic- the new shop is bound to be even greater! I spent all day today rebuilding my main store too- now it doesn't look like a flea market- and once i get the ad boards done it =will look awesome and i will be ready for the White Glove review!

From: Ralektra Breda I have taken your challenge and here are the results: http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r383/coleena_photo/totallyhot.pngI don't really wanna put the pic on the forums lol This is something totally outside the norm for me, it's something I tried to do before but just couldn't get it. When I read your challenge I decided to give it another try. By the way, this um...outfit? lol is not for sale. It's way too hot. I can't be held responsible! hehe (my partner insists I keep it for those...special...occasions) Well it is very hot indeed- maybe we can get mickey to model my offering? I don't think I can call it for the challenge since I actually did it last month just not released.

From: Amaranthim Talon i will be ready for the White Glove review! They're black, actually Hi, all. Been a bit quiet over here, mainly due to being back at work this week after a fortnight off and all the associated exhaustions of having to pick up where someone else left off and figure out where the *hell* you are in your schedule. The good news is: I'm now a landowner. Last night my partner and I bought the land that our little mini-mall is on, so tomorrow (ugh, actually today; 4:30am and I've been up for half an hour already) I'll be back to creating stuff again. I'm planning some basic starter home packages this week, for those renting/buying their first plot of land, although knowing me and my inspiration that'll probably change the moment the first prim is rezzed...

so true Jojo. The trick is picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and going forward bigger and better then ever. Most of the time you realise its was a blessing in disguise. Keep your chin up

And although I have no doubt that would sell like hotcakes...a cool idea to keep it for a "select audience." Well done

From: Jojogirl Bailey Ok...took the challenge too and put up something that ive resisted which is texture change items...however ive just sold 1600L worth so im a new convert LOLL. So even for me, making what people want pays off...BTW...I marketed this as soon as I put them and some other new things up by sending out a note to my group, adding new free group items to the box in my store, doing SL, SLEX and SLuniverse forum posts. Not too bad for a little bit of stretching from what i normally do. Thanks for the challenge suggestion!
And you guys behave or im gonna get out the hose and spray you! hehe Do you have a link to your SLex listings (and is the new item on it)? Wanna see!!! (And the non-Hurricane Fay is keeping me busy recovering from minor power outages to be able to get much in world travel done atm...but I'm headed your way soon!)

Ouch! I feel for you and Relekra. I was all excited about having my own land to put my shop on with more prims...then got busy with a couple other of my SL ventures and my poor shell of a store still sits. I need to kick my butt and get it going again, so I understand the lack of motivation thing (plus I'm a major procrastinator). I look forward to seeing your shop when it's back up and running...and I *will* get mine up. /me keeps repeating that until it happens

Congrats Skell on the land holding Guys I worked hard today and partied as well - i am off to bed- Talking earlier I realized I have gotten so much from what we have shared here- my building looks pretty darn decent and i built it myself. My ad boards are coming along nicely though slowly and the dresses them selves are working out better each time. Every thing's coming up roses- Night all- be well.

Rha copy and paste is your friend for all the groups especially. I sendthe same notice to my group, the freebies groups etc if i have freebie. Saves a LOT of time. So notices only take me like 3 minutes For new items take a bit of your blog post and put it as your notice to your group about new items etc

Lol too many posts to respond to at once!!
Czari, thanks hehe, it actually happened twice, the first time I laughed and bought my own land to rebuild on so no accidents could happen. Then my partner talked me into setting up a satellite on his land, so I worked all weekend on it, got all done and went to a club to relax a bit. My partner decided to stay behind for a minute, and decided to set the land to my group....bam auto return (cause I had to use his group to place everything lol)...I was like...what just happened 'Zep has logged out'. It was pretty funny a few days later but right then logging was the smartest thing he could have done haha!
Stuff happens, and we move on, and he has been forgiven (after paying penance of a new pair of boots for yours truly!)
Ama, I saw that thread, I am teetering on the verge of removing my greeter...but it only greets once per AV then shuts up....I dunno maybe a welcome mat is better.
Grats Skell!

From: Mickey Vandeverre I gave you until NEXT Tuesday! wow...that's awesome that you are already knocking it out. Maybe you should do "one a day" until Tuesday??? lol QUOTE] hehe I knew I would be spending this week getting ready for a sidewalk sale at a mall I have a shop in, slashing prices, special adboards, a few new products...so you caught me at probably my last little hiatus before that happens I knew I had to work quick! And the idea and basic sketches were already there, just had to implement it.

Just keep an eye on the number of views and you will see what I mean. At least you know someone is seeing your stuff The last time I put something up, someone was at my store buying it in like 5 minutes!

I've inadvertently gotten a greeter- all it says is something like hello visitors to Talon Faire- don't much like it- need to see what i can do to change script verbiage- but it counts visitors then emails me list of peeps- not sure i will do anything with that list- it may be annoying- but at least it is data...

Free Market space...
08-20-2008 10:46
Been meaning to mention I found a little market area that offers free stall space. It's called Big Dog Free Market. All you have to do is join the group, which is free, then rez your stuff in a stall. There's a 25 prim limit, and you'll have to pay group liabilities, but that's only been a couple of L$ a week so far. Stuff also gets returned either once or twice a month too. There's a donation box near where you land, along with a sign to click that has the full rules and contacts in a notecard. Traffic isn't much (as yet), but that could get better with a few nice stalls set up. Might be wise to be quick if you fancy one, there were three spare stalls when I just looked. Might as well grab some free exposure http://slurl.com/secondlife/bolton/250/63/24

From: Jojogirl Bailey Prawn - Ok, im dense, but i tried to walk through the clear walls on each side of the entrance lol...i just didnt see them. Ok, just added a logo to these windows, hopefully folks won't try walk through now. Not 100% sure if it's not logo overkill now, so opinions would be appreciated, only when u have a spare min though
