It's funny that some people consider someone who isn't aware of f#%ked up fetishes as someone who "needs to get out more".

I don't know about the others, but one of the main reasons my avatar's usually an urchin is because it means I don't have to deal with sexual advances. It takes you out of the system, in a sense.





I've got similar going on when I do stuff like go to pay rent in malls. If I'm just dropping in for a minute I don't always bother to switch my avatar.

Okay, side trip real quick.

I have 4 avies for this account- Standard (7foot, good grief- but necessary since I design clothes for standard adult avi's) adult avi, a 5'3 adult avi that I sometimes Dolly up (Oh my god you're so tiny! is the most common comment I get- which is amusing because I get it in real life too!), a child avi, and a siamese tiny avi. Other people swap shirts daily- I pick the avi that fits my mood. Sometimes I want to be a kid, present myself like a kid and be treated like a kid. Sometimes I'm happier putting the tiny/kid avi's aside and dealing with the world as an adult- sometimes dealing with mature subjects and content.

I put my child avi away outside of my home when the fuss started, but I'd love to be able to bring her back out at some point- sadly without going into alts is it possible to separate the things I do when clothed in my adult avi from the things I do when I'm in my child avi?

If not, it looks like my only options to avoid AR griefing (being AR'd for being a kid and having a Linden go back through chat logs and see that I wasn't exactly an innocent and carefree kid the day before) are to put away the child avi permanently or to go premium and purchase an alt for my kid/dolly moods.

Does that seem accurate? I hope I'm missing something because I'm not in a great position in my first life to go premium atm =(

You can still change into whatever avatar you wish, including your kid avvie. Yes, you risk being ARed over just being a kid (no matter how baseless), but I sincerely doubt you need worry about LL coming after you because of the day before's chat logs in such an instance. They simply do not --- maybe even can not -- have the manpower to do such for all the ARs that come across their desk.

I can not help but wonder if you are reading all of the conments. I wrote dow some good reasons for doing so. Most people are caught up in the assumption that all behavior is derived from sex and the desire for sex. My Avatar is an adult and at 5'8", I still have residents ask me why my avatar is so short.
Family Play is not my thing as is age play. Sex in second life is well BORING at best.
I wonder if the critics of this are doing it for the same reason that people bash homosexuals and non belivers. They are afraid they are the offending whatever if may be and by bashing it are helping to "cleanse" it from their systems

i was sitting a pool with friends and my sl partner tonight wearing an adult female avatar with rather large breasts whose height was 5'8'' Someone new to our group came, who knew one of the group members and immediately began attacking me, without provokation accusing me of being a child avatar even tho i wasnt roleplaying anything and just sitting talking with everyone as i would in real life. i had to leave the party because the person refused to stop attacking me and it ended the entire party. Everyone left and ended up in ims trying to do damage control. I dont know what the hell is going on in world. But id like to personally thank Linden Labs for ruining my Second Life as an adult female.

My suggestion is to AR them first. Harasment in SL is not right and the Lindens do not tolerate it. A good place to have a party is on your own land. Then you get the joy of drop kicking (ejecting and banning) the offending resident. If they come to the edge of your land you can mute them. If they continue to "stalk" you send in another AR. The Lindens will work with Residents as long as they follow the proper procedures. Give it a try!
