Ageplay.. whats allowed and whats not?

I have an alt that is a 6 year old little girl.
she was adopted by a great couple and they treat her like she was their own kid.
now all this stuff has come in about ageplay and it being banned on 1st june and everyone is worried.
i am seeing different reports and i am not sure whats allowed and whats not.

there is NO sex involved with my 6 year old avi, i am just there as her to be a kid again.. is this allowed?
Is it just sex with kids thats been banned or ALL child avatars have been banned?
can someone please clear this up for me as her parents have received a message from their landlord telling them that becasue of the ban, if my alt is caught on their land again, then they will lose their land, also, they have been insturcted to remove the playground that they built for her in their yard becasue it portrays they encourage ageplay..

i jsut wanna know if its safe to log in with my 6yr old alt...

According to the TOS and the recent Daniel Linden blog you are safe.

However that doesn't mean someone won't AR you. For now, tread cautiously.

Just dont have sex with it in the front yard.

Just to be safe you may want to make your little girl 7 feet tall and dress her in MTV slutware so she will fit in more easily with SL.

Some wanted to have LL fix it to limit the size of avs but that wont happen. as long as you obey the CS and Tos dont worry about it

You're fine, and so are your "parents". Educate your landlord. There is nothing wrong with age play in Second Life. Make your child av animate sexual pixel bumping, then you've got a problem.

Technically it's allowed and breaks no rules. However as you're seeing from the message from the landowner, there's a witch hunt going on, anyone playing a child avatar is going to be branded a dirty perv as will anyone who associates with them.

Let's not be so quick to mistake a misunderstanding with a witch hunt.

I'd just be careful with your alt, really. If it's non-sexual, make sure that people know that in your profile... Stick to familiar haunts with the avie, if you do go to a new place, just make sure you are with friends, and do not hesitate to AR griefers. You take the risk upon yourself, if people start ARing you all you can do is try to show that you are only playing a non-sexual role, and hope LL listens.

I think, actually the new ageplay rules are fairly simple as far as sex goes.

Your 6 year old av isnt allowed to do anything sexually you wouldnt let your 6 year old daughter do in the real world.

Debates on if that rationalle makes sense or not are a different story - but that pretty much sums up my understanding of the rules.

if the chat is kept to private(IM) in public places i usually ignore it, but like yesterday there were 2 daughters and a mom in a public place yapping with mom this, mom that and child so blablabla, AR`d them on the spot after telling them to take it private and they didn`t stop as more on that place can`t stand it there

I hate it when I see slaves with their masters, talking as a slave would to a master. It's stupid AR's like that, that brought about LL taking away the AR system the first time around.

What? You think this separates you from the 'witch hunters' how? Do you generally run around the grid ARing everyone whose conversation annoys you personally, or was this directly related to the fact that child avs were involved? Despite some people's interpretations to the contrary, there is nothing inherently ARable about wearing a young avatar; what LL has forbidden is sexual activity involving child avs. Unless there was sexual content in their conversation, all you did was force some Linden to waste time on a pointless AR...time that could have been better spent resolving a valid complaint more quickly.

So let me get this straight, if anyone is at the same public place as you are you will AR them if you dont agree with what they are saying? Guess what, do it to me and you would be AR for harrassement. Public means what it says. PUBLIC. As long as there wasnt anything being said that isnt forbidden by the TOS or CS the Lindens would get a good giggle about it.

Seriously. In the last few weeks the forums have gone insane over this broadly offensive thing. And Linden Labs has just sat back and not come out and clearly defined broadly offensive. I doubt they will, but really... Can't we just drop this already? Keep sex in the bedroom, as it were. Be normal out in public, wear clothing, behave. Just like we do in real life. If you want to be six, then be six, but don't have sex. That's perfectly fine. It's all a game right, just playing a role. I know you aren't really six. In real life we're all supposedly adults, so can we stop whining about this and get back to the business of having fun?







Then again, I am well aware that everyone is probably getting as much enjoyment as I was out of stirring the pot over this thing. It passes the hours for me, at work, for sure. But c'mon... I doubt anyone is going to get banned over BDSM, as long as they aren't doing it in public. There are plenty of sims for that sort of thing, private property, ect.

There are no rules against ageplay in SL, only sexual ageplay/paedophile roleplay. I am not surprised they ignored you asking them to take their conversation to IM, they had more right to AR you for harrassment than you them.

Kids talking to parents in public isn't illigal in the real world, heck, I would be arrested daily if that's the case

Personaly I wouldn't want kids in SL, or be a kid. Probably because I have a pre-school child in RL so come to escape, but some of those that do, maybe can't have kids of their own and this helps them.
