I pointed out the 4 incidents that smelled of cirruprtion. When we spoke for three hours you acknowledged these incidenst did not sit well with you either. Why you are posturing now I have no idea.

Here are those 4 incidents again:


Well, I must say that as a leader of a community group that is having growing pains you are not handling this bit of difficulty well at all. The issue was done with, you posted an announcement in the group to hold the meeting we agreed needed to happen and we had moved on - yet you felt compelled to stir the shit again - your choice.

If any of you would have responded to these concerns weeks ago and had not effectively silenced anyone not on board with your personal agenda - I would not have had to post here about this at all. But my posting was 100% effective.
As should you Sir. Since the representative of the service provider I pay meets only with this group when it comes to Adult Content - I am financially obligated to keep abreast of this group's activities. You took my advice on how to work on fixing the problems in the Zindra Alliance group. Wonderful. So stay the course and focus on your obligation to Zindra Alliance. Thanks.

I have to agree with argent on this one, though- 6 people all said "hey, let's do this", and nobody at the meeting said "No, don't". I see your point that this wasn't put to some wider consideration- the proper order for this stuff ought to be- Resident discussion, establishment of and agenda of issues to present to blondin, and then holding blondin's feet to the fire until he deals with the things that *we* think are important.

But Argent is right. 6 "let's do this" and 21 "who cares?" equals consensus. "No substantive opposition" is the what consensus means, not unanimous approval.

But the chain of communication needs work- and when speaking to LL through blondin, we need to have a way to get zindra-wide as well as personal issues on the agenda. and it needs to be *our* agenda, not blondin's.

Speaking as someone whom you quoted in association with the "Zindra Island name switch." I rather resent the implication that I have been in some way involved in corrupt practices.

It is my custom when people accuse me of any wrongdoing to invite them either to put up or shut up.

Just wanting to point out that it is this sort of thing that puts *blondin* in charge of the zindra agenda rather than us residents. If we can't talk amongst ourselves without the knives coming out, then what's the point? we might as well let LL screw up Zindra the way that they've screwed up everything else they've touched. Then blame everyone else but LL for it.

Seriously, this is an even bigger issue than the establishment of organized communication with LL. You cannot have the sort of message discipline and co-operation that you're talking about without having *some* rules of decorum for the conversation.

So, if you and Dekka absolutely *must* snipe at each other, take it to e-mail or something. Some of us are trying to figure this stuff out on a basis of mutual interests, and you're killing the "Kum-Ba-Ya" buzz, okay?

And Lias, a hunt isn't a matter for resident government. It's a private enterprise that is the concern of the businesses involved, and anyone was welcome to participate.

So how about praising Couldbe for her initiative and organizational skills, rather than complaining that the idea wasn't put to a vote? I mean, am I going to have to put it to a vote every time I want to try some event or other with my neighbors? if I have a nifty idea, am I going to have to submit it to the Zindra planning committee for approval, or can I just round up a bunch of folks who think it'll be fun and *do* it?

Some things need to be approached collectively- but if you carry it too far, you wind up with an anthill, rather than a community of creative people.

Innula, I purposely did not use any names when quoting that chatlog to not point to individuals that just 'went along with it'. But if you have a need to implant yourself in this, then by all means dive in - the water is fine.

Stop implying wrongdoing, collusion and/or conspiracy to residents that agreed that whorlebow was better than dropping zindra visitors in the ocean.

Insulting residents who care enough to show up to meetings and give any feedback at all to Blondin is not the way to build a community. It is unnecessarily divisive and distracts from the good points you seem to want to make about developing a better process for decision making.

Exactly the reason I feel that it should not be advertised in the Zindra Alliance group - in my opinion. I saw someone added a line in the ZA Charter about using the group to 'discuss' promotions - but no one knows who changed the charter.
I wish she had taken that same organizational skill and organized meetings to involve the Zindra Residents in the decison-making process of the ZA. She seemed to be able to take the time to use ZA to advance her own personal agenda.

I do not know what else you want from this. I got what I wanted. The ZA is having internal meetings now so residents can have more involvement with the issues before we present them to Blondin. I split the Zindra map into 7 grids and dispatched staff to start compiling a complete list of Zindra residents (these staff are armed with welcome packages that suggest they all join the ZA group).

We are moving in the right direction. Yes, there will be some lingering resentment and snide remarks because of my initial posting here - But some eggs have to be broken to make a cake.

"Corruption" means a person in authority taking money for favored results. So unless you think Blondin is taking money under the table for swapping region names, you should find a different word to describe what you think is going on.

My own take on the subject: The Lindens have made a lot of mistakes building the Zindra continent. Among those was giving the same name to a region as the continent, and then making that region an all water sim over to the far edge. That was bound to cause problems. Anything that can get their attention to fix some of these problems is better than nothing, and if it's the Zindra Alliance, then so be it.

Hey all, just got back from a https://www.linkedin.com social networking meeting in Manhattan. Another Second Lifer was there. Another way to get traffic onto your Adult Parcel is to make an account for your avatar on the social network sites and post slurls to your content. I took some time to make a 'widget' gift on Facebook (Dinner for two at my erotic restaurant) and I send that gift out to all in my network and to those in the groups I am in. And they send it out also. Go to the bottom of your Facebook page and click on the gift creator and create a gift certificate that can be redeemed at your Second Life Land. Twitter pictures of your Adult Content site and also go to linkedin and share your info.
