NEW ORLEANS, LA ... Yesterday a barge carrying 10,000 barrels of fuel oil was struck and cut half by a Liberian tanker ship in the Mississippi river. The resulting spill has closed 100 miles of the river from New Orleans to the mouth of the river. Domestic water supplies on the west bank of the river are currently threatened. The NTSB is investigating the accident and discovered that no one aboard the barge tug crew is licensed to either operate a tug or handle hazardous materials. It has as been speculated but not reported that the tug operator and crew could be illegal aliens. omg, I was just reading about this - the story I was looking at said that portion of the river may be closed for days (for shipping purposes). And all those fishies...animals...the water supply...ugh. GRAND ISLE, LA ... This Friday the 87th annual Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo opens. This competition is touted as the oldest fishing rodeo in the United States. The Rodeo is based on Louisiana's only inhabited barrier island. Last years winning fish weighed in at 153 lbs and 1 oz. Other winners last year included a 34lb Barracuda, 25lb Black Fin Tuna, 14lb Bonita, 7lb Catfish, 40lb Cobia, 2lb Croaker, 38lb Dolphin (Mhai Mhai), 53lb Drum, 3lb Flounder. Tarpon! "They jump, they crash, they break tackle and bones. Tarpon possess the muscle and mass to defeat you in several different ways. Of course, that is precisely why we love them." Morning Peeps ![]() Can we declare Thursday postponed on account of Sleepy? I think blaming any of the Seven Dwarves is OK. Happy - having waaay too much fun to go to work Grumpy - best not to face the world in this frame of mind Sleepy - nuff said Sneezy - keep those germs at home! Dopey - decision-making processes may not be functional Doc - "doctor's orders" always works Bashful - some days, it's just hard to face new people/experiences |

Do the fishermen just jump in and wrassle 'em? ![]() A 150 lb fish against a 200lb human might be a fair fight. I have a photo of a young lady that caught one that out weighs her by 50 lbs. ![]() "CX" _____________________

@ CX- taken care of
@ Mo - Thanks! awesome- may have to frame that! @ Oryx- Oh yeah... @ All the ladies that have had the (mis) fortune to have shared a calling card... One Time spamming to ask you to join my Talon Faire group began today - I think I got to the "M" won't do it again after this time- but please forgive me this one time- trying to drum up business. @ Damien - very touching about the Blue Angels and very impressive slide show- a long time ago they used to come down here when I use to live closer to Broward Coutny- I am way south now- the would perform in an airport called Opa-Locka Airport that had adequate road side access. People would line the streets for hours to watch them.. They moved to the Air and Sea show in Ft, Lauderdale and I have not seen them since. OK- pretending to work now... _____________________

OK - I have waded through the last umpteen pages because a couple of the women have called my attention to the discussion about the blurbs. I volunteered a long time ago to coordinate those, so I suppose I could now get in the act by explaining the reasons behind the factors that have apparently led to a controversy. HOWEVER, having read the whole kerfuffle, I'ain't touching it with a ten-foot Pole, Arab or Greenlander. INSTEAD, I am, for no money down, gonna make an offer: I will personally take care of all the captions in this way: I will go through this whole 25000 message thread and pick a line or two from a post by each woman pictured in the calendar and HER OWN WORDS will be the caption for her picture. Nobody writes anything, it has already been written. ANY male who can spot some particularly appropriate remark a lady has made that can be used as her caption is invited to submit it to me. Ann's is already chosen: "My ass speaks for itself". (Thank you, Ann, this is where I got the idea.) You may count on others in this vein. Double entendre will be rampant. If you demand some control over my sense of humor or the dignity of those pictured, I will gladly submit my choices for peer review by any two males whose taste in such matters is indisputable. If you can find 'em. I like this idea. _____________________

Lexxi, I would love to share April with you if you like, or anyone else who wants to participate. I think I'm going to respectfully vacate the month of April. A dark cloud is beginning to form on this little diversion, eerily reminiscent of the beginnings of the Hangout Project. I'd rather stay clear of it. I do not want to take over April by myself, and I was thinking of April anyway. Ah well ![]() _____________________

This has always been a favorite Tribute to The Angels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjPEBunlstQ These guys are such skilled pilots that it is an extroadinary event when an accident happens. I haven't seen the Blue Angels yet, but I've seen the Thunderbirds, and the Canadian Snowbirds several times. _____________________

Where is the hook I have to jump on to get hooked by her . . . Pep (How do you circumcise a whale? Send down four skin-divers) Is it true that golf bags used to be made from whale foreskins? Or is that just an urban myth. I'd like to believe it was true. _____________________

Did any other Easterners get hit with the brutal storms we had here last night? I was watching the baseball game last night when there was an awful crash. A large piece of my Oak tree came down, nicked the chimney and wound up on my car....
