From: 3Ring Binder so just randomly, this sort of falls in to my lap. i don't know the first thing about the law, but apparantly i will learn quickly. LOL i don't particularly believe i qualify for the position, but there isn't tons of quality employees around here to pick from that don't already have an amazing job, so maybe i'll just get lucky! i sure would relish the challenge! ....
etc (much deleted) ...
i think i will tell her that Sierra did not meet her criteria and that he has been adopted by a wonderful Father who will love and cherish him. It is my belief that a wonderful Father is involved throughout this scenario. Now, if that lawyer is engaged in child welfare and custody matters......

Two actual questions:
1) did I see on the Forum Cartel calendar that there's a clothing swap this weekend?
2) is there a party/dance scheduled for this weekend?

I had heard rumor of someone wanting to schedule a clothing swap but never heard any details -- it was discussed whether items should be boxed with a picture or if the giver would model them. It is possible it was put on the calendar as a place-holder. I've likewise heard nothing about an *official* party/dance this weekend.

So I just gotta ask... since you mention it involves a party- does one swap clothes while wearing them... me imagines this descending into a wild - I forget where I left my car keys" event at then end of which you forget if you had clothes on when u arived...

OMG.. I just saw Conan's thread on child avis. I am sooo dying of laughter.
And Edit to add: It is not funny about the kid avis problems, but Conan is a freaking master of trolling.

A lot of people mute him, but I always find him entertaining -- he beats so many of the a**holes that I have to deal with every day and reminds me of how much worse these people could be. And I just cannot help chuckling at how bent out of shape many people get, even when it is so obvious that that is exactly what he is wanting.

From: Amaranthim Talon Obviously... you need to rethink social RL vs social SL... Meaning what, exactly? Are you implying that social RL is more important than social SL? I did say I was going to be out of town, and I didn't say what I'd be doing. It happens to be a social event. Obviously, the RL event is taking precedence. Or, did you mean that SL social is non-important? I happen to think time spent with friends and likeable aquaintences in either environment is important. I will never have so many of any type that I can discount a number of them simply because we only meet online. Obviously, you need to rethink your reply.

There was a person named Mulch that used to be here and later Second Citizen. The guy knew EXACTLY how to get a rise out of people with the smallest statements. Conan is like that. I have always been a fan of those who could do it without just being mean for the sake of it. When I saw that OP in that thread by Conan I doubled over. I saw EXACTLY what he did and it only took about 5 replies before mission accomplished. He is an artist.

Ghosty - she was kidding with you - implying that you should forget your RL obligations and come play with us instead. It wasn't a serious comment. No need to get upset. Of course your RL social event takes precedent.

Big relief among all the riders at le Tour de France that the big mountains are now behind them. Today's Stage 18 was not flat but still a relatively easy 196.5km or 122 miles. 48km into the race all the early breakaways were caught. Carlos Barredo of the Quick-Step team attacked at 65km. There were counter attacks and at 81km German rider Marcus Burghardt of US team Columbia caught Barredo. The two worked well together stretching their lead on the peleton out to over nine minutes, with a three man chase group about half-way back. But Barredo knew he couldn't beat Burghadt in a straight sprint at the finish so at 10km to go he began attacking, trying to get far enough ahead to win the race. Burghadt stayed right with him every time and tried attacking himself once or twice with no better results. In the end it did come to a sprint between the two with Burghardt taking first place in 4h30'21". The main group of riders, including all the overall contenders came in 6min 50sec. later. There was no change in the general classification. The winner of this year's Tour is expected to be decided at Saturday's individual time trial stage. At the start of the day, after 3,000.5km of racing, in the Tour so far, Damiano Cunego was ranked 14th overall. His deficit to race leader Carlos Sastre was 12'26". Then he crashed at the 28km mark and was on the ground for seven minutes while the race doctor bandaged his chin. Four of his Team Lampre team-mates waited to ride with him but they had lost a lot of time on the fast moving peleton. Cunego's group crossed the finish line 20min. 12 sec. after the winner. He is now in 20th place overall. http://velonews.tv/?articleID=2330

God, guys, my apologies. Between the political discussions I have all day as a matter of course for my work, plus a number of lesser things in the forums today that I should have shaken off with nary a care, I'm a little edgy this afternoon. I'm sorry.
