7:36 AM for me. Woke up around 3 AM. More job interviews today.

Took the fiancee out last night to pick up a queen sized mattress. My lil' Cavalier wouldnt have fit it, so I borrowed my Dad's SUV. WOW! What a Gas Hog!! 35 miles & it sucked down half a tank! But what a sweet ride!

Later today I'm heading to her mother's house. She thinks the ex-husband (the pedophile that he is) is getting onto her PC. No wonder, considering her passwords are SO damn simple.

I can bet her wireless router is wide open to the public too! No encryption either.

SO! How was everyone else's day?

They aren't all gas hogs. I drove mine 160 miles yesterday and I got 18 miles per gallon. I think that is pretty good since I have a gasoline V-10, I can carry 8 people and all of their luggage and tow a 10,000 trailer. Stamping SUV on vehicle doesn't automatically make it bad.

I love my little SUV, an 05 Ford Escape. It hast a peepy V6, and I get around 20 MPG. It's a blessing in the Winter. You'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

Belated morning Threadites.. there must have been something in there air last night- I went to bed after 2 also...

I was up until 1:30am. If I had known so many of us were still awake, we could have all gone out dancing I mean, it almost wasn't worth going to bed what with having to be up at like 6am for work...

I danced with Lindy last night to the wee hours at the Cartel Then visited with Allie a bit- Thanks Allie! Researching as we speak..

I'm covered in bug bites...which is weird, because they usually don't find me tasty. *scratches*

okay, once again i'm going to go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off SL content and ask some personal advice.

first off.... Jillian... i got that bastard Scribus in my pocket! easy. thanks so much! i totally have been doing that with Corel, I just never gave it a name. but Scribus is so much more versatile and user friendly. THANK YOU so much!

but, now to the question i have today! i am asking here, because we have such an assortment of brains and experience. and since this is basically a GD thread, and i don't want to start a new one.... i'm going to go out on a limb and bring my personal into it... no pics or anything, just questions. if i'm way out of line, i want you to tell me to knock this sheeit off, and i won't do it again.

here it is. i am actively seeking other employment. in doing so, a really sweet job has popped up. it doesn't pay as well as some other jobs i've been applying for, but it pays better than the current job (which also has nothing to do with my past experience because i pursued something new, and it almost kilt me. really. =/ so going back to what i know and am best at.. and pays better).... AND this job has required graphics experience and duties. i so want to do something related to computer use, besides the usual office blah blah blah (data entry, taxes, payroll, billing, etc).

so, i wrote a really detailed cover letter. i need to know if it's over the top, or too strong, too weak, too rambling.... things of this nature.

anyone willing to take a look? or i can post it here... but that's a little embarrassing and show-off-ish (IMO)..... what is best and who is willing to slay my werk to set me straight and help me get hired just off my letter alone?

P.S. they are hiring for 2 positions. i am way qualified for the office admin one, but i really want the other one. but, just in case... i acknowledged my abilities in both.... one never knows....

thus, these question has arose: is this appropriate? anyone in human rescources? if not, would you be willing to print it and as a HR person for advice?

no pressure, but gotta mail it today, so if posting it here for all to see is necessary, then so be it. i can always edit it out later. but honestly, i'd prefer PM to public. the more input the better. so come one come all. thank you in advance.
