you mean that slump shouldered, beaten down looking guy?

In Pep's defence (and I never thought I'd hear myself use that phrase), at least he has the courage to post his RL image here.

Very easy in an environment like this to throw stones.

Obviously we can only assume that your excellent conditioning, toned body and general aesthetic loveliness give you the necessary authority to comment on another's looks.

To be honest, albeit only in my experience, the only people who actually enjoy the schadenfreude of another's physical imperfections are those who prefer not to look very long at themselves in the mirror.

well then, you'll find it ironic that peptard does that to others regularly around here. 23 had it right.

then perhaps you should also know that what he posted is nothing but a stock photo from an online photo tour: http://goeurope.about.com/od/montsaintmichel/ig/Mont-Saint-Michel-Pictures/
"courage" had absolutely nothing to do with it. a tendency to blatantly lie, however, did. so, before you next jump to a conclusion, perhaps you, too, should take a good long look in the mirror, lest you instead jump to a contusion...

(and, so long as you're looking, you may also take note that your last two paragraphs fall into the category of both the "pot" and the "kettle".)

This is "Mojo". We have had him since November. He will still not get near me. He acts as if he was treated very badly by a previous owner.

:( he's gorgeous!

Ahhh - to bad. I hope he wasn't mistreated. you'll win his trust eventually.

Note from keyboard guy: I was sitting in my car in a friend's neighborhood one balmy evening with my windows rolled down. Someone across the street came outside and started calling "Mojo! Mojo?" and whistling. Then she gave up and went back in. Pretty soon I saw this --dinosaur, that's what it looked like at first -- come galloping down the street. It came to my car window and stuck it's head in without stretching, bent DOWN and effortlessly sniffed the top of my head. Biggest dog I've ever seen in my life. It must have been part Great Dane, part Clydesdale. Satisfied I wasn't the one calling, it galloped off. I reckon that was Mojo too.

good thing the beast wasn't hungry...

Hey, Thread :)

I haven't been here in ages but I heard LL were shutting this place down so I thought I'd stick my head back in one last time to say, "Hi and goodbye". I'm not usually one for leaving online fora with a dramatic farewell flourish (hence my non-verbal disappearance before) but this place was a part of my life for some time and I didn't want it to vanish completely without my having had the chance to wish all of you the very best in both Second and First.

Edit: *chortles* Oh... the irony... ;)

*huggles*

your absence has been obvious. glad you popped by and i hope all is well.

I love all the doggy pics ... so cute :)

Here's my cat, Rosie, who's 18 and a cantankerous old baggage, but we love her ...

(yes, she really is tucked up in bed, under the duvet)

Are we back up and running - or at least limping. I couldn't get in for hours. I do hope I can say my goodbyes (to this place - I won't have to say goodbye to you guys, thank goodness :) ) but I'm not ready yet.

Here is a picture of Cassie the Wonder dog. She is no longer a member of my household as I felt I could not give her the attention she needs. She stays with my sister now and does come to visit though. Cassie came and got my attention one evening when I had left a pot holder close to a burner on the stove and it had caught fire. She took me to it. That's why she's the Wonder Dog.

[EDIT: There I made it a little more reasonable in size. Had to re-upload it.]

I think that one of the reasons LL is closing these forums is that they are fed up of subsidising a showcase of laggy images demonstratiing the lack of talent and general ugliness of most of the avatars.

Pep (As has been apparent from the plethora of "vanity" reposts in the last week.)

The images have zero effect on LL's computers, network, etc. since the images are all hosted elsewhere.

I had to take Boomer to the Vet today. He kept us both up last night hacking and yacking, it was like sleeping with an old Jewish man......

It turns out he has a touch of bronchitis.

So more dog memories...here he is after his first bath

And a day at the lake

poor poochie...

hope you and Boomer are feeling better today.

Oh, what a lovely dog. Very regal looking. He does have sad eyes, though. I'd love to just sit next to him and give him lots of love.

You know, when you posted that award=winning pic earlier in the week, I couldn't take my eyes off it. Congrats, Mari!

And at the dance...is that Johnny, your friend who's a boy, but not your boyfriend? :p
