Oh, tell me about it! I've blown off the past two days following the forum-death news... last night my eyes were killing me.

Now I'm trying to make up for it, sending my resume out, writing cover letters...

... which is so UGH!

I love writing, I could write stuff all day long, but cover letters are such a chore!

I read some "cover letter writing tips" that tell you to research the company, reach the right person, etc. - which I think is all wrong. I assume they are going to feed the emails/attachments into a search engine and look for keywords, so I'm trying to write something that reads well that has all the words that they want.

Can't understand why it's so tiring, but it is. (Of course, I shouldn't complain.)

The demise of the place made me think of this old SNL video. Mostly for the title: "Don't Look Back in Anger." Of course I didn't see it when it was originally shown, but even yars later, it is very haunting and eerie.

I had no idea how un-photogenic donuts are, until I tried to find a pic. Most donut pics look really bad, but this one looks tasty.

By the weirdest coincidence - I think - the last time I saw this was the day after he died. I was watching nightly re-runs on some cable channel or something and this episode seemingly just happened to have its turn that night.

I've never thought (or wanted to think) of myself as the kind of person who recognizes junk food. But these look like ones I used to buy from Krispy Kreme...

What does one do on AU with all the random friend requests?

I've checked and I have NO friends in common with these people, and they haven't included any message with the request. If I use the "ignore request" button will they get some sort of rude message, or will the request just go away?
