You're channeling Vasquez again. She's my heroine, right after Ripley.

Interesting times in Eastern Tennessee

From: someone
ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Emergency officials say a boulder about the size of a compact car crashed into an apartment in eastern Tennessee, barely missing a woman sleeping in her bedroom.

Fire Chief David Jackson in Rogersville says 75-year-old Elizabeth Allred was lucky that the 10-foot-wide boulder didn't hit her bed straight on. Instead, it crashed nearby and the imploding wall sent her hospital bed rolling across the room. She was at home recovering from a broken hip when it happened Monday morning. Allred told Jackson it felt like a train crashed into her room.

Jackson said the boulder broke loose from a bank above the dwelling during recent rains.

The Kingsport Times-News reported that Allred was listed in good condition at a hospital on Tuesday.

YIKES!

ALCOA, Tenn. (AP) - An East Tennessee man told police that a woman in a vehicle in front of his jumped on his hood and kicked and punched his windshield as he waited for a traffic light to change. The man, John P. Williamson, 37, said the incident was unprovoked. According to The Daily Times of Maryville, police quoted the woman as saying she was being followed.

A woman, 58, was arrested and charged with vandalism of more than $500. She was being held in lieu of $1,000 bond pending a hearing Thursday in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Man wrestles live chicken on subway.

From: someone
Next stop: the chicken coop.

Straphangers on the uptown 6 train had to stand clear of the clucking poultry last night when a man wearing a shirt with an MTA logo began wrestling a live chicken.

Riders cleared out from their seats as the unidentified man, lying on the subway floor next to a grocery cart loaded with beer cans and junk, manhandled the fowl.

An intrepid rider posted a 1:15 minute video of the incident to his Web site that was later picked up by the blog Gothamist.

It depicts the man hugging and holding the chicken over his head in the middle of a subway car. Other riders are standing by snapping photos and recording the bizarre scene.

Live animals not in an "enclosed container" are not allowed on the subway, according to MTA rules.

If the animal is in a holder, it should be "carried in a manner which would not annoy another person," said New York City Transit Spokeswoman Deirdre Parker.

"Since the man with the chicken is wearing what looks like an MTA patch on his sweater, I have asked personnel at the Department of Subways to look at the photos to see if he can be identified," she added.

You know, if you are lying in bed recovering from a busted hip, and a boulder comes in through the wall and hits you, you just HAVE to wonder if Someone Up There Doesn't Like You.

As for the irate woman, of COURSE she was being followed. Everyone in traffic with a car behind them is being followed.

As for the chicken...ewww. Just ewww.

The two seconds of the Borat movie that I saw involved him wrestling with a chicken in the New York subway system. I think it was New York.

Now he can hear "the rest of the story" I love the Glass Family and their tales, Wonder just how many unpublished works are going to find the light of day? He wrote daily so there must be many to go through.

I know it's bad form to admit it, but I thought Borat was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It definitely is crude and tasteless, and smug leftists shold probably avoid it for it's outrageous political incorrectness, but it makes me laugh hysterically in spots. The unused scenes on the DVD are just as funny.

Well, I only saw two seconds because I was flipping through channels before something started. Not becasue I saw two seconds and fled from the room.

It is the reports of nude gay wrestling that has kept me from watching Borat. And the swimsuit.

*frowns, and shakes head violently* No no, they can! I was wearing a blindfold and headphones while a friend was watching Borat, those particular scenes. Then he started trying to kiss me! And he wasn't at all gay before, not even 1 out of 10 gay! A real ladies man, he had been.

Obviously I reacted by kneeing him in the groin and lifting up his curled up body by his throat and tossing him out into the snow. I forgot to open the window, but that doesn't really matter.

(also, I really don't want to see throbbing male organs, pressed naughily against her thighs as they dance slowly to the sweet sounds of Iggy Pop. She giggled softly as she felt him sliding against her leg. 'Can anyone tell?' she thinks to herself, wondering how it looks, his hard raging organ rubbing freed against her thigh, hidden, surely, by her skirt. Or is it? She giggles again . . .

wait, what was I writing? I just meant to note that I do not desire to see naked men. They make me start writing erotica while drinking wine and listening to Kenny G. I could live with all of that except for the Kenny G.)

It might be better if you, as in everyone, skip the post where I start off by shaking my head violently. I think I went a little insane in that post.
