today is "Nerd Day" at work so i dressed up for it. i look completely ridiculous, yet i feel very comfortable. i doubt anyone will take me seriously however, so i might have to wear my mean face to balance it out.

Speaking of nerds, the Resident Geek is getting a new toy...by this weekend, we should have a full home theatre setup, with wall-mounted HDTV flatscreen, surround sound, and Blu-Ray.
He's been trudging around, whipping out his tape measure, scowling at the family room wall, and muttering about "cable management" for a couple of days now. It's a sure sign that the drill and screwdrivers and wrenches are about to make an appearance.
I told him the first thing we're going to watch is "Titanic". He's holding out for The Fast and The Furious.

A great movie for testing out HD is The Matrix. There is one scene in particular that comes to mind. Neo is in the lobby of an office building and he's firing at the agent guys over and over and there are shell casings and stuff flying everywhere. That whole movie looks really cool in HD.  |
