Isn't it amazing with Brian Williams. I can't watch him for 30 seconds on the news. But he was a riot on "Wait, Wait". I was driving home form Florida when I heard that show and I actually listened to it twice more, it was so funny.
For awhile, a few years ago, I was watching CNN every morning while I did a 30 minute workout. Almost every morning they'd show some White House press thing and David Gregory (who was NBC's W.H. correspondent then) would always be there asking hard questions and follow-ups. But then at night I'd see his report on "Nightly News" and he would pretty much just read the latest propaganda hand out. It was like he wanted to be a real reporter but the network wouldn't let him report anything that would rattle their sponsors...

What's the color?
Well let's see -- I don't like dresses in brown, many greens, yellows, most golds, bright pinks & purples, and I often avoid white in SL just cuz the color does not hide things well -- damn picky, aren't I. I love most blues, reds, black, and a few greens.

There is a lot to this. Network News is now part of the Entertainment Divisions, they are merely leadins for the weekly shows.

I remember when John Glenn went up in the Space Shuttle a while back. Brian Williams was teasing before the break and he said "Coming up, a shocking report on John Glenn's return to space." When he came back he saaid "Doctors have warned John Glenn that because of his age, if he were to go back into space, he may not survive the flight."

Thank you, Captain Obvious. But it did what it was supposed to. It kept me tuned in through the break.

You can't go wrong with the standards. And you never do. :) I have a ton of formals, but never wear them. Maybe I can hook up with Lula and try them out.

I have one formal pic, taken at the Hangout last year.

This is why I stick to Pitttsburgh's news stations. Sometimes it pays to be considered 10-20 years behind the rest of the world ;)

I would love to photograph someone other than me. I have a photosphere and some static pose balls if needed. I take pics to my hard-drive and then photoshop out some of the awkward mesh glitches and color correct. It is my hobby but I must admit it might take a little time (or not depending...)

Send me a PM or catch me inworld. It would be so much fun for me so I thank anyone willing to give me there time.

Love, Lula

Oh wow...a pic by Lula? That would be awesome, as you take such wonderful pics. :) I'll send you a note, inworld. :)

'zactly!

It's like a friend of mine who has land that's part way on a hillside near the SLRR. There's far easier plots out there to build on -- but that's her place. She's made a lot of walkways and landings, and really made it a nice spot. For her, it's home.

In RL, she's had a hard few months, with a major move cross country in the midst of this job crunch. She lots the apartment she moved into shortly after her move, and is sharing space with some friends. In RL she has less of a sense of "place" than in SL right now.

/me smiles.

To me, SL is an extension of RL. It's not separate...more like...it's a subset of my RL. But it's a very important part. People I've met inworld and/or in the forums have become very dear to me.

Oh, and the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit was AMAZING.

Each warrior looks different...since the artisans used different molds to give each warrior his own look. Some had long, narrow faces, others more round; some had a more wiry physique, others a bit more stout...differences in hair styles, eyes, facial expressions.

And that's all apart from the differences based on if the warrior was an archer, an officer, an infantryman.

Such detailing. Just remarkable.

uber cool. i've wanted to go visit the museum-ized terra cotta burial grounds exhibit since learning about it in my college history class. i don't remember much about it now, so i have to ask if that was also there?

/me is eating pistachio ice cream and a banana muffin, listening to the huge screaming argument going on in the kitchen, and the party noises coming from upstairs. Yey.

Ahhh. I thought you meant that the dresses on sale were all one color...say...brown...and that's why you could avoid the sale. :D
