From: Maureen Boccaccio Oh, and the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit was AMAZING. Each warrior looks different...since the artisans used different molds to give each warrior his own look. Some had long, narrow faces, others more round; some had a more wiry physique, others a bit more stout...differences in hair styles, eyes, facial expressions. And that's all apart from the differences based on if the warrior was an archer, an officer, an infantryman. Such detailing. Just remarkable. There is a replica of that at the China Pavilion at Epcot. It really is beautiful to see. Well by this time tomorrow, we will know whether the Jets will be flying high: Or will have crashed and burned: If it is the latter, can someone make me an avatar like this?

From: Maureen Boccaccio Oh, no you don't, missy. When one is "forced" to move, isn't it de rigueur to have some huge blowout?? You know, wreck the place so you cannot get back your security deposit? It was a quart of blood. I don't think I want it back.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Good thing he's cute. It's funny, the Tech said the same thing. She suggested getting him in modeling and advertising.

From: LittleMe Jewell For anyone that might want to drop some L$$$$$ on some absolutely beautiful gowns -- Azul is having a "Thank You for a Wonderful First Year". One color of every gown/dress/outfit is 50% off. I'll warn you that the original prices, at least on the gowns, is typically L$600-L$1200. http://slurl.com/secondlife/joia%20azul/118/129/25From recent past experience, I highly recommend anything Lil recommends. Next login I just might part with some more L$$$.

From: Lula Svoboda From recent past experience, I highly recommend anything Lil recommends. Next login I just might part with some more L$$$. I love the long flowing gowns there, but I seldom ever buy them because of the price. Bad thing about this sale is that about 1/2 the "one color in each dress" is a color I hate. That is probably a good thing cuz it helps save my budget.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Glad the packing went smoothly. I remember the night you and I went to Watchman and Gabriele showed us around...and you moved there soon after. Yes! When we were walking around, I knew I had to stay there. I think this is what Marianne wrote about. In SL you can really find a place that you want to belong.

From: Brenda Connolly TV news? I never watch it. The local shows are crap, half of what they show isn't news and the networks aren't much better. There's no more journalism, it's all about entertainment and making agendas. Newspapers aren't much better anymore.
I'll check in with our Cable Company's News Channel, they do a decent job of reporting without editorializing. I browse throuh CNN.com and Fox.com, as well as a local radio station's site, and any if headlines that interest me, I'll do further reading. Mostly I get my news on the radio when I'm driving.
And I read The Onion and Obama's Teleprompter's Blog. I get my news from the BBC, on line and on tv. From Newsweek, The Week, Jon Stewart and occasionally network news and the Onion. Oh yeah and NPR when I'm driving.

I want to take your photos!
01-23-2010 19:31
I would love to photograph someone other than me. I have a photosphere and some static pose balls if needed. I take pics to my hard-drive and then photoshop out some of the awkward mesh glitches and color correct. It is my hobby but I must admit it might take a little time (or not depending...)
Send me a PM or catch me inworld. It would be so much fun for me so I thank anyone willing to give me there time.
Love, Lula
