Claire, I enjoyed reading your blog. ![]() ![]() When do you hear about your study abroad application? I'm not sure. I'd guess it would be fairly soon because visas have to be applied for and things. I'm pretty certain I'll get on. It sounds like its just me thats applied, so its going to be a solo trip lol. _____________________

*waves to the Threadies* Y'all have been busy! Sorry I've not been here much in the past few days. Mom came home from the rehab center (did I tell you that already??); she and Dad are settled back in at their place, and everything's moving along nicely - and Dad's getting some rest, too! ![]() We're taking it one day at a time. ![]() Glad to hear your folks are doing well Mo! Did your Mom get both hips done? I wish her a speedy and uneventful recovery. Hopefully she'll be able to do this soon ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLQgjEhH400 |

We could start a forums dance club with all these tunes! I'll leave you with two songs before I go to bed ... Nina Simone - Ain't got no ... I've got life (lyrics are brilliant) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUcXI2BIUOQ whoa...haven't heard that one in a while. I remember it from "Hair"... ![]() Pomplamoose - Beat It (MJ cover) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meT2eqgDjiM The girl in Pomplamoose has an AMAZING voice. They do cool covers and all their videos are great. I also like their band name which I think is a misspelled version of grapefruit in French "pamplemousse". http://www.youtube.com/user/PomplamooseMusic Thanks for the pointer in their direction, Josh. ![]() |

On a stupid & sad note: My soon-to-be Ex Brother In Law somehow decided that he should join the Army at the age of 39. Wow...that's quite a decision to make. I'm hoping he's in good shape, b/c basic training will likely be a huge eye opener!!! |

I don't think I posted this one - one of the texture glitches I saw recently: ![]() On the left is the face of a model in a store, showing the textures from the wall she is facing - which is shown on the right side of this pic. Somehow I don't think that's what the store wanted her to be modeling. ![]() |

As promised, I present to you highlights of my visit to the fantasy-themed neighborhood on Nascera. Seeing sims and sims of the same four houses in the residential area was pretty dreary, but I did have a lot of fun exploring the new infohub. ![]() You can see my whole tour over on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ava_glasgow/sets/72157623212982348/ If you want to skip over the tour of the four "Linden Homes" and go straight to the fun infohub part, you can start here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ava_glasgow/4275988574/in/set-72157623212982348/ I will post the pics in separate posts because the thread wants it that way. I dare not disobey the thread. I jumped up on stage and tried out the various musical instruments. My favorite was the drums. ![]() ![]() Oh, Ava, THANK YOU! What a wonderful tour you gave us. and lol...LOVE the pic of you with the drums!!! |

The back of my neck. Nope. Nope. I think I've pulled a muscle or something. Its a general muscle ache and stiffness sort of from my shoulder blades up the top of my spine and up to the base of my skull. Its making the rest of my back and shoulders start to ache now because I'm sitting funny with the pain. /me sends a masseur your way.. ![]() |

Last night they were. On any given Sunday...... A couple of things played into winning. First, they Jets have the #1 rated defense in the League. Good defense usually beats a good offense, usualy the offense needs big plays to win. The Chargers really didn't get any. There will also some very costly penalties. The kicker's troubles were also huge, the Chargers have a history of choking in playoff games. Also, the Jets are loose, and pretty fearless, they are playing with house money. I can't wait for next Sunday. Are the Raiders still in with a chance Treasure? And in the world of cycling, yesterday was the Tour Down Under pre-tour 51km circuit race around Adelaide. Great Britain's new Team Sky took first and second place. Stage 1 of the actual Tour is tomorrow (which will soon be today over there I guess...) Any way I'll try not to bore you but I'm all stoked about the start of the season. There have been a lot of shake-ups in the pro-tour teams and it should be very entertaining. _____________________

Two words: Norv Turner. He is one of two coaches who Vegas oddsmakers factor into point spreads, giving the opposing team points if he is on the other sideline. Definitely. He plays not to lose instead of playing to win. |

Thanks for this analysis. I remember a few previous goal kicking chokes. The NFL fans I live with are going to be rooting for Drew Breeze next. Should be less tension in the air. Good luck to your Jets. Are the Raiders still in with a chance Treasure? And in the world of cycling, yesterday was the Tour Down Under pre-tour 51km circuit race around Adelaide. Any way I'll try not to bore you but I'm all stoked about the start of the season. There have been a lot of shake-ups in the pro-tour teams and it should be very entertaining. The Raiders were mathematically eliminated after week 1........ ![]() I'm also rooting for Mr Brees and the Saints. After what Brett Favre do to us last year, I'd like to see him knocked off on Sunday...although getting the chance to beat him in the big game would be nice too. As far as the Eddie show goes...it was brilliant! It was basically History of the World according to Eddie. He took his usual detours and tangents but he was dead on the whole night. he did 2 sets, about 2 and a half hours total. He has ditched the glam for now working strictly in guy mode. He said he'll bring it back probably, once everyone gets used to him this way. The place was sold out and it was a very Eddie centric crowd. The show was recorded, I imagine for HBO or a DVD. It was well worth the price. |
