Ava, the pics of your explorations were really fun, have you considered blogging your adventures?

I find it's not only fun to share my travels, but also provides a handy place to store the pictures and SLURL, thereby freeing up inventory and HD space.

Oh I agree! The pictures were great but it's nice when people take the time to describe them or put them into context and that's what I liked about your Linden Home tour.

For non prior service

* Army - 42 (must ship to basic training prior to 42nd birthday)
* Air Force - 27
* Navy - 34
* Marines - 28
* Coast Guard - Age 27. Note: up to age 32 for those selected to attend A-school directly upon enlistment (this is mostly for prior service).

Reserve Non-Prior Service

* Army Reserves - 42 (must ship to basic training prior to 42nd birthday)
* Army National Guard - 35 (changed from 42 in 2009)
* Air Force Reserve - 34
* Air National Guard - 40 (Changed from 34 in Aug 2009)
* Naval Reserves - 39
* Marine Corps Reserve - 29
* Coast Guard Reserves - Age 39

Age Waivers

Age waivers for non-prior service enlistments are very rare. The few I've seen approved involved those who started the enlistment process within the required age limits, but were unable to complete the process and ship to basic training before their birthday. In these cases, only a couple of months of age was waived.

Thanks Chris.:)

I don't mind so much when it's on TV ... it's more an issue for me when people believe it actually works in real life.

I had a really good time today. I went to a party on the Isle of Lesbos where Jenshae was DJ. Jenshae went to a lot of extra work and trouble, doing Youtube captioning of most of the songs in her set. She played 4 hours, that's a long time to DJ. Her awesome partner, Csar, was the excellent hostess. Another of my deaf girlfriends showed up, not as good a showing as I'd hoped but enough to convince JHenshae that her extra work was appreciated. And Scylla came, desperately needing duct tape. Was a fun afternoon, and I will go back there. Definitely for me, outside the box.

I say KUDOS to him. Anyone that joins up right now has true balls and patriotism. My step son joined up about a year ago. His entire unit was sent to Iraq a couple of months ago, but he was sent to Germany because he is considered "too green" yet. My own son was in the Reserves for 6 years - got out this past April. He was never sent anywhere, but then his unit was more important here than there. However, he is still in the Ready Reserve status and is actually thinking of going back for full active deployment. Yes, it scares the total hell out of me, but it also makes me very proud.

Well I would say "Kudos" BUT.... he's doing it thinking my sister will take him back or some other F'd up reason.

Aye. I got 2 years to go BUT.... None will take me because I dont meet either Height or Weight requirements :D

I found out the reason for the usual 110lb requirement- Blood loss. The bigger you are, the more you weigh, the more blood you can lose. Me? I can lose about 1/3 a pint before prolly passing out.

If I could do it all over again, I'd join the Air force...... just like my Dad. HEH! He said I'd make a Good Tunnel Rat till I found out what that was. No thanks!!!!

LOL! I was gonna post links of the beheading videos but the damn websites removed them. :mad:

In his introductory blog post, the new dude said they would be making a post about the forums in a couple of weeks. Everyone figures that will be the final death notice.
Ahhh, I see. I hate it when they get coy about stuff.

Will Wallace close the forums? Only his hairdresser knows for sure. :p

The Mighty Boosh is huge over here, but it just doesn't do it for me. I don't think I have the right sense of humour to appreciate it, except for the odd time when I'm not feeling quite myself.
I'm constantly stumbling across quotes and wondering where they are from.

On the other hand, Noel Fielding in other things I find very funny. On the IT crown he was brilliant, and he's fab on Never Mind The Buzzcocks too.

Ava, the pics of your explorations were really fun, have you considered blogging your adventures?

I find it's not only fun to share my travels, but also provides a handy place to store the pictures and SLURL, thereby freeing up inventory and HD space.

I do actually have a blog: http://ava.wavescrashing.org/

I haven't posted my latest escapade on there as of yet, but I will probably add an entry that links to the Flickr set.

I used to have several other sites as well, each devoted to a different category of pictures (my inventory, my creations, my supermodel alt, and my sightseeing). Unfortunately the software I was using for those (Drupal) required an upgrade for security reasons, and the upgraded version didn't support the plug-ins I used to create the dynamic image galleries.

Since I was going to have to rebuild it all from scratch anyway, I decided to just move all the content over to Flickr. It allows the same functionality, but I don't have to maintain the back-end software. And it's actually easier to add pics and descriptions in bulk, which means more new content on a regular basis. :)

I blame The Mighty Boosh for my staying up till 2 AM to watch reruns on Adult Swim. :)

I dont always get the jokes- like Monty Python Political stuff of the time- but its just so frickin' bizarre!

In a perfect world- I'd have Anime and British comedy on TV 24/7 :)

Just had to add..... I'm OLD GREGG!!! :p

Hmm, what part of the neck? Any swelling? Do you still have your tonsils?

Rumours of my duct taping have been greatly exaggerated. :D

Yeah, Treasure, that was fun. And I liked the set they played. I LMed, so I can go back. The only problem, of course, is that I can't bring along my male friends . . . :(
