...and hugs to you, and I'll do the same. Chocolate chip cookies for everybody! :D

This letter fails to mention that over 90% of gun related crime is also drug or alcohol related. It is my opinion that narcotics in America is a greater threat to life and property than the Second Amendment.
Most people prefer to not look at the alcohol part of this. Alcohol is big business in the US.

QFT. If recreational drugs were legal, maybe even regulated and taxed. Crime and violence and prison population numbers would go way down.
I go back and forth on this issue. Alcohol is legal and yet we still have trouble with the abuse of it and a variety of crimes and death caused from using it or being addicted to it.

Exactly.. Nothing would change,we would just have less people in our prison system. People would still be shooting each other over money and drugs.Overdoses, car wrecks.robberies etc..

A small rant
12-08-2009 09:33
I went to do a little Christmas shopping today at the Geek's favorite online store, NewEgg. My goal was to get a GPS unit for our oldest son. Found one, at a good price. Went to check out...and found out that I couldn't, because I didn't have the latest Java script on this workplace computer.

I couldn't add it, either, since only Administrators can do that.

Companies should keep this sort of thing in mind when designing their websites, darn it!

can't you get the tech team in to update your java real quick? can they take control of your computer from THEIRs so they don't even have to leave their little nest?

Maybe. But I hate to go to them and say, "please upgrade my computer so I can do non work-related stuff". I'll just buy the dang thing from home tonight.

It didn't seem as real last night, and won't be until the deed is done and kitty is put down. But it is hitting harder at moment. Thinking how it is likely I saw kitty for last time this morning.
I'm so sorry. It hurts so much to let them go. :(

I've been putting off and putting off getting the kittens adopted out because I love them so.

THIS is what guns are for... to put in your mouth if you find yourself living somewhere that cold.

It IS fun. It's like, Instant Friend. I know Maureen, and I wish I could have been there to meet you and Kaimi too.
Me three (or is that four)! Of course, no way would I have driven my tiny Geo three hours in yesterday's weather for anything... even youse.

Good thing that's just particles and not real fire.
The picture made me goggle, but Seven's comment made me laugh out loud.

Entire trial, including jury deliberations, lasted between 30 minutes and 45 minutes.
Lucky girl. My last tour was a case that lasted 5 weeks.

Thank you for the hugs and like *smiles softly* I believe I only mentioned something like "probably go home to find kitty has been put to sleep". And so I follow that up to confirm kitty was put to sleep.
(((( gentle hugs )))) :(:(

Do like the people do on that "Airline" show. Threaten to call your lawyer. It'll help if you get drunk first.

And just to add to Kaimi and Treasure's comments:

It was a marvelous meal. (And the food was pretty good, too :p) Treasure is just that...a treasure. Smart, witty, lovely. I was thrilled to have a chance to chat, laugh, connect. :) And getting a chance to spend some time again with Kaimi just soothed my soul....a lovely, wise, down-to-earth woman I'm happy to call a friend.

It was a great, great day. :)

Play the ones near the gates. I've had pretty good luck with those.
