Each time when someone opens a profile window of someone, you will get a secret chat message, who did this and whom is looking, like:

Emerald Viewer: Avatar Name is looking into Avatar Name's Profile

You will be completely anonymous - no one can detect what you are doing.

Enough to make me want to stop using Emerald (or stop looking at profiles). Now the emo whiners who previously just put in their profile "don't look at my profile or I'll send my boyfriend to beat you up" can now actually know when you dare to look at their sacred text.

Anybody else think this is utterly stupid?

I don't know... I feel somehow insulted. Everyone else seems to be able to register there just fine.

The same thing happened to me.

I figure I didn't either beg an admin to validate me soon enough, or something.

Maybe someone over there really hates me. I dunno. You won't see me there.

SC Update:

A good Samaritan contacted an admin there for me. The admin promptly wrote me with an explanation and was properly contrite to mollify my bruised ego.

Apparently, after registering and clicking the email activation there, you have to either PM and admin or post in a certain subforum for noobs in order to prove that you are not a spammer. If you don't do this within 2 weeks you are deleted.

Unfortunately, this was not communicated in any way during the registration process. You have to have read a certain sticky in that certain subforum to know that.

I never bother to read those "welcome noob" threads, so I guess there's my karmic payback for it. :rolleyes: Anyway, I am now approved over there.

There was a whole thread somewhere here about that. Apparently people are yelling at people for reading their profiles now.

Um, yeah. If you don't want to interact with others, there is this little "X" in the upper right corner of the screen...

I have to tell you, if I ever had a situation that forced "me" to leave SL, a stalker or crazy ex or anything like that, I probably would be gone for good. I don't think I would want to start all over.

There was a thread on it a few days ago. I figured I would go out of my way to click on profiles and if anyone complained, I'd call in friends to click on their profile also -- wtf do they think the profile is for anyway.

It is part of the anti-spam system. Once registered, you need to make a post in the Ellis Island thread, so they can verify it is a human and not a spammer bot.

They have fun pairs of free roller and ice skating skates at Abranimations right at the landing spot Rafe. It has a hud and you can do tricks and things.
