This made me laugh and reminded me of the recent thread discussing types of tails -- this is way overboard though:

And her hover text said "Wanna buy my tail? IM me".

What bugs me about this pic is...ok, I know this is going to come out wrong, but what the heck is that box at the top of her tail?

The standard of sex shops has improved since then probably.

The first two places I visited were "Wilder Linden's House" and "The Science Centre on Info Island II".
This because they were the first two in a list given out on Help Island.
My reaction to both was slightly WTF, but I stayed on, despite having Mirimar Plaza as my initial Home. :)
Then the Knowledge Port in Maryport
Then the Mauve sandbox
Then a private sandbox

The rest is hysteria.

After seeing Rafe's newbie pic and seeing your post, I'm thinking everyone could post the oldest pic they have of their avatar.

This is the earliest pic I have - and actually, I didn't take it; it's one that Soji took on my very first visit to the Hangout...back in February 2008. :)

A nice mentor/helper girl took my pic fresh out of the SL womb on my very first day. This is right after she gave me a bunch of noobie clothes on Disorientation Island and made me promise I would never delete this picture.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys. I'm going to start charging you each $1L every time you post a link here to something on xstreet. Don't think of it so much as a fee. Think of it as just the cost of being helpful. :p

hah! helpful to whom??? :p

Combat helmets here:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tropical%20Beach%20Land/157/176/21

But "combat" hemlets don't come in baby blue. Those are "stand around acting useless" helmets.

ETA: They do actually have the UN stuff, in the SW corner on the second floor.

Ooh! Jackboots!

oooh...thanks for the slurl! :)

You know how horse tails are wrapped? I think that is what the box thing is supposed to be.

/me waves.

Well that was a fast trip. So much for going to the farm for a few days. My mother-in-law has the flu and is paranoid about us being there.

So, I am home again.

I had an idea to quote all of Maureen's first-post-welcome messages just so I could say "My god, it's full of stars." But that would take to long to find them all ...

How do I make the link show up life sized? I can't figure out why it's all tiny like that.

you have to copy the large picture, not the smaller version. I fixed it by backspacing 2 spaces to get rid of the 'm'. That left just the original photo name.

Really gorgeous, btw.

That's a handy tip.
A while back, something changed in Flickr so that although I could right-click / Properties on the smaller version, I wasn't getting the Properties option on the bigger version.
That was in my usual Mozilla. I had to use IE to get the Properties, and that made me feel dirty :)

Yup. You can also snag the file name from the page of the larger version. At flickr, just hit the 'share this' button, choose the html option, and strip out the file name (the same thing you get when you right click the smaller photo).

really cool pic.

Hope your power came back on and that all is well at your hacienda. :)

Thank you.

I'm not sure what time it came back on but its 4AM here now.

All is well. Its still freezin' in here because the heater didn't come back on with the power. I had to manually reset it. I am happy to report that there are no frozen pipes.

Unfortunately it does not always work the same way.
Remember that HUGE arsed "Original Rafe Phoenix" snapshot?
(edit to add... I thought I was posting its medium sized image but got the original.)
You can use that little magnifying glass above the photo stream to confirm the
tags for that pic.
If you click on it you will see all the image sizes that Flickr uses for that pic.
For some of my pics to come out right I have to add a "_o" to get the original photo size.
Adding "_o" to your URL gave a "This picture is not available" error message.

Now for a ton of spam pics......

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2684/4119988946_a21b19abbc_s.jpg
Sometimes the tag you need is "_sq"

Square

Thumbnail

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2684/4119988946_a21b19abbc_m.jpg
Sometimes this is the "_s" tag.

Small

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2684/4119988946_a21b19abbc.jpg
Sometimes the "_m" tag.

Medium

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2684/4119988946_c40f079963_o.png
Sometimes no tag.

Original

Why must Flickr do that? It makes posting pics a pain at times.
