My first avie's name was Cain ????? I made him in Feb. of '04 and spent 3 hours of a two week trial in SL. I tried to create and edit prims as soon as I came onto the grid and had no luck. The first two places I visited were sex shops. I decided that SL was not for me. When a friend asked me to join SL with them I finally agreed after a lot of poking and prodding. I had the presence of mind to take a snapshot of Rafe Phoenix while he was still on "Training Island." Whatever the SIM name was.

The standard of sex shops has improved since then probably.

The first two places I visited were "Wilder Linden's House" and "The Science Centre on Info Island II".
This because they were the first two in a list given out on Help Island.
My reaction to both was slightly WTF, but I stayed on, despite having Mirimar Plaza as my initial Home. :)
Then the Knowledge Port in Maryport
Then the Mauve sandbox
Then a private sandbox

The rest is hysteria.

The common denominator is that it's a fucking internet game forum. It's not the General Assembly of the United Nations. Lighten up, or failing that, look inside yourself and say "I've had enough. I'm better than this and won't allow myself to sink any deeper into this mess." Then STFU and move on. No more "No, YOU!" No more "I know you are but what am I?" No more last word. You can only control yourself. If the others can't let it go, that's their problem. At least you won't be contributing to it any more.

all good points. i might choose to gloss over them, or i might not. i would like some time to decide. seriously.

I thought it was whipped cream, though I do not like ice cream with pie or cake, only by itself or with a brownie.

Do not ask me to explain, it is not really logical.

i like it ON things. but like you, i choose not to explain. :D

A big ole yeller dog, flopped out on the back porch on an August afternoon is more useful and productive than that den of thieves.

ohhh...I like this look...your hair's lovely, too. :) And that jacket is TDF. :)

TY! :)

The jacket is . . . I'm 95% certain . . . Pixel Dolls . . . I've sort of grown away from their "look" over the last while, but they still do a (more or less) "conservative" classic look better than almost anyone, I think.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys. I'm going to start charging you each $1L every time you post a link here to something on xstreet. Don't think of it so much as a fee. Think of it as just the cost of being helpful. :p

Combat helmets here:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tropical%20Beach%20Land/157/176/21

But "combat" hemlets don't come in baby blue. Those are "stand around acting useless" helmets.

ETA: They do actually have the UN stuff, in the SW corner on the second floor.

Ooh! Jackboots!

How paradoxical; all that claimed experience and you *still* can't find the ignore button.

Pep (has been around the block a few times too, but so what?)

Oh, I don't need the ignore button, I don't find you offensive; just puerile.
