I saw the comment made in group chat and I believe it was meant as an insult to Brann. Why would Brann expect anything else? Pep insults her repeatedly on the forums, then she asks for help on group chat and suddenly he's mister nice guy and genuinely trying to be helpful? She told Pep twice to leave her alone and he wouldn't until Lil stepped in.
What happens in the forums stays in the forums. That means don't antagonize people in-world. If Pep wants to treat people like he does in the forums then he needs to take responsibility for his actions and leave them alone in world. Otherwise he should leave the Cartel and also risk being ARed by people that want to enjoy their time in SL and not be trolled.
You see everything I post as an insult; I offered the same relevant and constructive answer as several others did, before they did, in my inimical and consistent manner, which would have been the same whether it was Brann, you, Lil or any of my old gfs in the Group. If Brann and you chose to see it as unacceptable, then you are being overly sensitive, which is hardly surprising.

Pep (It's Lil's call anyway; she was there and if she wants to establish a precedent then I'll have to accede to her authority. And in the meantime, you can STFU.)

Um, "inimical"???

You seem to have just made Eli's point for him . . .

(I do not think that word means what you think it means . . .)

Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised by it. Not my usual "look" at all, really. It IS a bit Stepfordish, in some ways . . . (Do I look too much like a hockey mum???)

My biggest complaint about Truth is that none of the styles are tipped . . . :(

Lil didn't establish any precedent. The rules are very clear. Don't eff with people in world. You suggesting to Brann that "nobody ever gave her a present" was right in line with the kind of insults you've thrown at her in the forums. You don't *need* to talk to her in world. You chose to take it as another chance to take a jab under the guise of being helpful.

And yes. I can STFU. Can you?

No, you can post in group chat. What I was saying was, after she requested you to not speak to her, you should not direct any more comments at her. You actually handled most of the comments very well, but it is a matter of courtesy to not speak to someone if they request you not to -- and that has nothing to do with anything here on the forums.
It's Group Chat. Once you have thrown a question or comment into it, you should accept that anyone in the Group might respond - and if you want to avoid seeing someone's contributions then mute them, as I am pretty sure that it works in Group Chat as well as Chat and IM.

Adversarial is not the same as insulting. So I didn't.

She asked a question. I offered a solution. Another person would have laughed. She went completely over the top. Is that *my* problem?

When you say "another person" you must mean another person that had not been previously belittled by you repeatedly on the forums. Be a man... take responsibility for your actions.

Don't be ridiculous. They have been provoked into talking compassionately about a serious subject by my entirely reasonable highlighting and rejection of your manic foulmouthed posts on the matter.

Pep (You are despicable and contemptible.)

Not entirely true.

My post....
From: Rafe Phoenix
When I was 15 my uncle died of throat cancer. It was a slow painful death. Three and a half years later I thought that I had come to terms with what I had witnessed. In '92; right after he took over The Tonight Show, Jay Leno made a few cracks about death in one of his stand up bits. I sat there totally appalled that someone could make light of someone's suffering. My uncle's death swam back over me. I went through a time when I was very sensitive to other people's actions. Not what they were doing to me but how they might be hurting others. Today I can not imagine being that sensitive to anyone else's opinions or actions. They are who they are and there is nothing anyone can do to change that.

Four years is not long enough to heal the wound that you were dealt with your father's death. Believe it or not being hurt by what people are saying here about cancer is helping you heal. It hurts like hell but its part of the process for some of us.

HUGS and best wishes.

...was meant to let Whimsy know that she is not alone and others here understand how she feels.

At no time have I stated my opinion on Rhonda's actions or character. I don't know her except from her posts, which is to say not at all. I am in no position to defend what she said nor condemn her. I think I do understand why and in what circumstances her comments were made.

Maybe someone just got fed up with a bunch of BS and lashed out in a vicious manner BFD Who hasn't? I for one will not ostracize anybody over hurt feelings. I'm thinking that most people in this thread wouldn't do so either.

My heart felt condolences to everyone who has posted a small portion of their personal battle with this terrible disease.

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so. ~W.S.

You are missing the point yet again Eli, whether deliberately or because of your stupidity - it's getting difficult to tell you and 3Ring apart in that respect! Now try and concentrate.

Group Chat is managed by the owners of the Group. LL would almost certainly ignore ARs that related to Group Chat. The owners/managers of the Forum Cartel are the ones who make the rules and are the ones who can impose discipline. For clarity's sake, that doesn't include you. Lil was listening and told me to back off. She should really have told Brann to stop being so over-sensitive in my opinion, but I *have* to respect Lil's authority. On the other hand, I can also hope that that authority should be wielded in a way that accords with previous repeated instructions not to bring stuff from the forums inworld. I would have teased ANYONE who asked that question in the same way. That it was Brann was unfortunate, for her, because of the way she over-reacts to the tiniest of slights - especially if made by me. I have never previously had any contact with Brann inworld, so any problem she has with me MUST be as a result of forum contact. That means that it was actually HER that was bringing forum stuff inworld not me.

Pep (If you want to change the rules just for me, let me know, Lil/Chris.)

Make up your mind; either you are in a position to comment or you don't have the information to do so with any authority.

Pep i love how you get more and more insulting when you are proved wrong. Calling 3Ring and I idiots really has nothing to do with the discussion but I'm sure it makes you feel better.
