You're right, Pep - I might laughingly call it a dress, and yes, the pose does look defensive - what reason would I have to be defensive? ;)

Anyway, I've started up my blog again for the third time (http://seven.mothmade.com/). I'm writing the blog scripts myself as I go along, so all the bells and whistles aren't yet there, like the rss feed for instance, or links to other ppl's blogs.

What got me going was a very interesting programming job at work. There were lots of fiddly little details to get right, and it turned out to be a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving is a bit interesting, we were going to invite people over, but instead we got three different invites, two from my older sisters, one from one of my mother's friends, AND we were quite pointed NOT invited by one of my aunts. That is kind of a puzzle, since we didn't realize we were on her "not talking to" list.

[I might necropost that to Jig's "How do you know if you're being ignored?" thread.]

Families can be so funny! The whole thing about who is not talking to whom is kind of like a cold that get passed around, you know?

Don't worry about the bells and whistles, the writing that is important is how you express your thoughts, because you do it with such insight and honesty.

Pep (Like me without the need to reply to antagonists.)

Rafe, I was just reading your post, and Whimsy's and Lula's. I can't begin to imagine how you got through such painful experiences. :( Just know that I am thinking of all of you, and I know you're stronger now.

Woot! Your blog is back. :) I'm enjoying already! :)

Yeah, families can be nutty, eh? What drives me batty is something I've experienced in my family -- the "don't tell the person you're irritated with that you're irritated; tell another family member and expect them to relay the information." grrr!!

I just thought I would share my own perspective and at the end of each day I would like to be able to say, “If this is it, I had a good run.”
Thanks for sharing that post, Callie. It's heartfelt, and I know it resonates with many folks' personal experiences, mine included.

Kylie I like your pic, as I have said before. It reminded me of this one I did "back in the day." The framed 'painting' hung next to the media player in my house.

From: Pserendipity Daniels
I don't normally comment on boring pix, but since I was asked my opinion . . .

The reason it was boring was the vast expanse of brick wall, which could have been reduced in size and been shadowed so that there was more of an affective contrast with the area the spotlight/streetlight was highlighting.

Affective does not necessarily equate effective. More contrast in Kylie's pic would take away from the feel that something more exists outside of that light. The brick wall is taking the place of the obvious mood setter; darkness, a less sophisticated photographer would surely have used.

Chacun a son gout; and I wasn't suggesting darkness.

Pep (nor was I tempted to throw a vanity pic of my own in as a reflection.)

As opposed to 3Ring's "Wednesday legs"?

Haha thanks for kind comments.

Unfortunately those chunky thighs are a little too close to the truth. My rl boyfriend is a keen racing cyclist who seems on a mission to turn me into the next Vicky Pendleton. As well as dragging me round on 60-mile training rides he lured me to a track last year, where I found myself competing against a girl who's currently in Melbourne racing for Team GB. And yes, flying round a velodrome at 25-30mph does make your legs kinda chunky. :-)

(It can also make you bring up your last meal, which believe me is even more unattractive!)

Apologies all round would be good, frankly, and merited, but that ain't gonna happen. :(

I suspect that the very very best we can hope for is an armed truce. But I'd be happy even with that.

Agreed :(

Kelly, I have never indicated whether I considered feminine pulchriitude was diminished or enhanced by muscle tone, merely commented, rather than being judgmental.

Pep (Your proximity to the Welsh border might give you a clue though, as you are likely to know what a Welshman means when he says a girl is "fit". ;) )

PS Your bf has excellent taste

PPS The pic of Vicky I wanted to put here was NSFW dammit!

Rhonda would have a very hard job convincing me of her sincerity merely with words. I have always told my kids (I should have told my wife too, but I assumed she was listening) that words mean nothing without actions to back them up. Saying sorry is empty unless you specify how you are going to change your behaviour in future so that potential unacceptable actions are recognised pre-emptively, acknowledged and appropriately resolved without causing harm. This is pretty difficult for kids who have not learned how to prevent their emotions from getting in the way of rational processing - and also, as is apparent from their behaviour in the forums, of those adults who are unable to control their hysterical reactions to inconsequential stimuli.

Pep (You can't unsay things, so I will always consider Rhonda's postings to be despicable and contemptible; if she were to acknowledge her appalling behaviour and the underlying problems she has, that caused that behaviour to leap from her obviously sick and bitter mind into the public domain, and to explain what steps she is taking to attempt to remedy - or at least contain - her apparently deep-seated mental illness, then I would have to reconsider my view of her as a person.)

Geez...forget I said anything :(

Pep, I honestly believe you need a HELLACIOUS roll in the sack with someone to relieve a lot of that tension

The reason it was boring was the vast expanse of brick wall, which could have been reduced in size and been shadowed so that there was more of an affective contrast with the area the spotlight/streetlight was highlighting. That would have made more apparent, yet ambiguous, the parallels you were presumably attempting to draw between a tart and a performer.

Having said that, my eyes were drawn to the brick wall because it resembled the tiled wall of my favourite college mens room, which had years of accumulated graffiti written on the grouting between the tiled bricks.

Pep (My favourite was "Too much graffiti makes your tiles fall out".)

LOL, thanks for the comment!!!

Lil, thanks to you also :D

Been there, done that . . .

Pep ( . . . still paying for it; *that* is what causes most of the tension! :p )
