Looks awesome Seven. I can't wait to hear about Jamaica. Remember what we talked about before you left? I keep wondering if she did. ![]() Thanks! About your question, no, nobody smoked any herbal remedies on the trip. I would have loved to see my mother all loose and happy and giggly. Instead she was more like, "Tense? I'm not tense. You're the one who's tense, Seven. Just look at you!" At most, she had a glass or two of white wine. I did have my share of beer, rum, and tequila (separately, not together in one glass). Seven is beauty as well ![]() awww.... (/me blushes) It's always been my lucky number... Cool! Hey! Lucky would be a cute name for Seven's Sis. ![]() She is pretty lucky, too. I will have to think on that... If one of your older siblings gets featured, he/she should be Eleven Eventually I will have to come up with names for my older sisters, and I do have a brother a year younger than me. One sister is pretty much off-limits though, since she is in SL and would flay me alive if I defame her. . _____________________

At most, she had a glass or two of white wine. I did have my share of beer, rum, and tequila (separately, not together in one glass). . I have an aunt that doesn't care what she drinks, long as it's alcoholic. On our last family cruise, (there were about a dozen of us, in a lounge, drinking.), towards the end of the evening, she went around the table asking us all, are you going to drink that? Are you going to drink that? And if we said no, poured whatever was left of our drink, whatever it was, into her glass. ![]() |

So.... interesting development. My boss just called me and said he wants to meet me for lunch... outside of the office. This is highly unusual. I suspect they are going to lay me off and close my office. They might reasign me somewhere else. I guess I'll find out at 12:30. Awww, Eli, I'll be keeping good thoughts for you. Sounds more like a promotion to me, though... ![]() _____________________

Back from lunch. Here's the skinny.
They are going to close my branch. Probably within the next 8 weeks. They don't want to lay me off. They want me to move into sales. I will have to take a 15% pay cut but i will make commision on my sales so I can make a lot of that back. I will be working about 5 minutes from my house which will be real nice. I will be working for a guy that I used to work with as a peer. I think it will work out great. Technically it's a step down from management to sales but I am going to have a lot less stress and will only have to worry about myself. I'm not upset at all. Thanks for the well wishes. |

No... we had to talk outside the office because my boss wasn't sure how I was going to react and my employees don't know yet that the branch is closing. The other good part is they are going to be transfered to other branches as well, rather than being layed off. |

Congratulations, Eli. It could be a promotion, actually, in the long run. With your personality I"m sure you'll do so well in sales that you'll be beating out your management salary in no time. Kudos to the company for finding a way to keep you.
