No I use IE.

OK....thanks. I looked at the filter set up. I have no idea what that's about...I'll just set up another account.

I have multiple gmail accounts and have them all consolidated into one. So for instance if you have 3 gmail address - one rl name, one sl name, one blog name. You can have all of those go into your rl name gmail account. You can also have it set up such that when you reply back, it will know to reply back as your sl name even though you are replying back from a forwarded message in your rl name account. Kinda confusing I know but this should kinda explain it:

http://lifehacker.com/376367/consolidate-multiple-email-addresses-with-gmail

Oh and add filters to flag the separate correspondence and automatically file it if you want.

Thanks, Elora.

I guess I will never grok the big draw then. I have email and a phone for RL, get SL message on my email and as a habit from my job, I live on email. If someone does not have my email or a way to get to it (like IM's in world) then it is a sure bet they do not need my email.

But if my hubby uses the debit card on anything online without me knowing about it I will skin him alive.

That's plenty. I use my email the most too. There is nothing like the written (LONG) word(s) :)

OK...thanks. I don't have RL gmail...I use AOL  ..but I think I see how to put the blog account under my "personsl" SL account.

Done. Thanks again. :)

I think I'm going to give up, now.

I always seem to miss things. Parties, skin fairs (which I just found out ended yesterday. And I was off all day Tuesday; what do I do? I bloody well hunt all over the bloody grid looking at skin, but never know when an actual skin fair occurs, and never hear about it). I just can't bloody keep up. And even when I know about a party, I don't go because I do not think I'm properly dressed. Only to have, after the fact, a lot of talk about nudity at the party.

yes, I think I'm just going to bloody give up now.

Yes, they are. They will probably be buying SL soon enough. It will help provide the "More Predictable Experience" (tm)

Poor baby. Lie down, put on some nice music, sip a cool drink, have some of these.

Mmmm. I seem to recall seeing quite a few parties you went to recently on your Flickr page. Not Cartel type of parties, more like naughty Zindra parties, but parties nonetheless :p

Awww... Lexxi don't give up. I missed the skin fair too, and I've really been wanting new skins.

As for parties!! Tomorrow night (Friday) at 7 p.m. at our party spot on Lebettu, CX and I are celebrating our one year anniversary. Everyone is invited, and a notice has been sent to the Forum Cartel Group as well as CX and Allie's friends group. We will have Tamara Sands performing, and welcome all the Threadies... so please come.

Dress is Formal, and I know you will have the perfect gown in your inventory to outshine every woman there. :)

I don't have a SLURL right now, but I'll post one tonight.

Anyone who can use and understand grok will never understand MyFacePlacebook sites.. :) They are for people who just want to take a shotgun approach to friends and people they know... sort of.. :)

It's a different mindset and way to interface with people I suppose.. but I like the more personal approach.

Thank you! Somehow it doesn't sink in when I say it. But then she goes to other people for color and picture choices. {sniff pout} I wonder if Lexxi will share her chocolate...

Found a very interesting link... http://personas.media.mit.edu/ - you put in a name (Mine of course) and it will scan the web and show you how the 'net sees you.

You really need the see the full size on my flickr site to see the details, but it is very interesting!

Hi all. I'm finally back, with a rotten summer cold as a souvenir of my travels.

Did I miss anything?

It is interesting, but works best if you have an unusual name.

It worked well for "Seven Okelli" - I saw things about myself that I'd forgotten, and I've only been around for a couple months.

It did less well for my real name, which I *thought* was uncommon (but apparently isn't!). It picked more stuff about other ppl with my name than it did about me.

Then I put in my father's name, which *is* very common - AND there is nothing about him on the web. So it picked up man after man with his name and made the most complicated rainbow.

Fun to see all those phrases flashing by...
