Whoa. I rarely use the SL home page, so I'd not seen it. I do like being able to find a lot of these items more readily...like who's inworld...buying lindens, etc. But what's the purpose of putting "My Groups" there?


I guess they figure if they give you enough in world stuff out of world, then you won't bitch as much when you can't get inworld, and they won't have to fix anything. You know, like waving a shiny at a cat.

I love being at the right place at the right time. Ryker Beck put a new skin you can fish up in her fishing area. She always pops over and chats with everyone. This time she was in a male AV because she's working on a male skin!!!



Still a work in progress but totally yummy.

I also got to ask her about my favorite line, Candace. When it was first released she mentioned 4 make-up lines for it and so far there's only been 2. Today she told me she will probably do the other two lines, but may do a Gen2 version of it first.

Okay, not complaining or anything, but I discovered on coming home that my mother's emailing me a news story about SL was not so innocent. Or maybe it was, but it got her thinking about SL and what a terrible thing it is.

She really laid into me about being addicted, spending too much time, "disappearing", and so on... I really don't spend all THAT much time inworld, so I didn't just take it. I didn't get angry, I just tried to stay calm and talk about what she was saying. After a while I think she realized that she was pissed off at having spent the day ironing and other stuff...

So I guess it came out well.

Just a quick drive-by before bed.
I've just watched the last in a series on BBC i-player called The Cell. Its explained all about the cell, and how it was discovered and what they're doing now. Wow! I studied it for a long time last year, but never learnt much of the history, and I've learnt a lot!
Also, I'm kinda stunned. I had no idea how advanced things had gotten - E. coli that has been tweaked so that it makes diesel out of sugars! And they are so close to creating a cell from scratch! Wowzers!

Ok, I'll shut up now and go sleep lol. Big day tomorrow - job interview and stuff :/

Some days I would give almost anything to spend the day ironing - that is until some idjit figures out how to make that stressful too. I usually enjoy doing housework now that I can listen to really interesting (and free) podcasts while I'm doing it.

Sorry that she was feeling cranky though. If she's able to work it and is interested, maybe she needs an iPod or equivalent. The darn things are very hard for some people to turn off though. I mean, with no "off" button. My Luddite closest friend has this problem.

Really cool stuff on the horizon for sure. Scary sruff too, but I'm ready. I waited all my life for the 21st century. It's about time we started living it. I'll have to search for that series if it's available.

They are making strong development in prostheses as well. The cyberpunk idea of wetware is not that far off. It is an interesting time to be alive.
