It's the one I shot my mouth off in yesterday :p

Those are interesting threads whenever they pop up. Not to bring the discussion here, but I am always a bit bewildered that the idea of a musician charging to be heard freaks some people out. They are content creators just as much as any clothing designer, and just as much right to sell their content. Same with venue owners charging a cover. It's great that people do it for free, but I don't think it should be expected.

Honestly... if it had been anyone else in the world besides the musician in question I wouldn't have batted an eyelash.

Not knowing who you are talking about I can't say much more about it.

Here I am at the party I could only get Bec to come to
I don't remember a notice going out in Group, so I knew nothing about it.

From: Lexxi Gynoid
The only picture I was able to get of Bec has one of those lovely Emerald viewer glowy things on her head. I've found that Emerald cuts off huge section of picture, and adds glowy dots all over picture. Tends to superimpose image lifted elsewhere in sim. Not necessarily in picture.
This is so odd -- I have absolutely no trouble whatsoever with pictures via the Emerald viewer.

Can I hide out in here today? They are ganging up on me over in the " A fee for being at a concert in SL?" thread. :p
Geez, are we going to argue that topic out there again?

I don't remember a notice going out in Group, so I knew nothing about it.

I talked about it in group chat. It wasn't my party. The response I got was that people thought I was joking. Strange, every time I've mentioned a party in group chat, I've actually been at a party.

I get it almost every picture I take. You can see some of it in the picture of myself. I do not see it in the Maureen/Jerboa picture, though I might have cropped it out.

The event is the SLU weekly gathering at the PMG Cafe. :) Most Tuesdays at 6 pm SLT.

Last night they had a theme of an '80s roller rink party. Great tunes. :)

Ahhh - I was only sort of paying attention to group chat last night, as I was working furiously on my house.

Oh yeah, I sort of remember something about those parties. I'm too conservative for that crowd, so i don't seem to fit in too well there.

They were talking about their kids, and about wearing their choose life shirts. Mostly talking about how old they were. Listening to music from the '80s and remembering where they were and all that.

I didn't recognize the music. Which either lead to the old talk, or occurred roughly at the same time. I hadn't really meant that. Ironically I visited the hangout after the '80s roller derby party at PMG Cafe, and '80s music was playing. And I recognized every song that played. heh.

re: hadn't really meant that: music being music, I have favorite songs from probably most decades since the 1950s, and maybe the 1940s. And definitely prior to the 1900s (my first music collection was classical). Meaning that just because I didn't recognize the music playing at the party, music from the '80s, didn't mean I was thinking or implying age issues. I was just implying that I had never heard those songs before.

I hope it didn't catch on fire or anything. Rubbing plywood together furiously . . .well . . . heh

I swear, on this stack of trial transcripts (where, for some reason, people really liked saying Connecticut ("Your Honor - - Connecticut if if I could further continue . . ."; "8 the question. And he said they would stay wet.
9 So I would like to just seal that issue.
10 Connecticut Your Honor, if I could address this "; " 8 yesterday and provide a different explanation
9 of that testimony, I think, is -- Connecticut ";) that no one was swearing at the party.

Oh, heh, I see that smilie is called cool. There was mention of the cool kids being the only ones that didn't wear skates onto the floor inside the skating rink.

re The PMG Parties: Actually they are very similar to Hangout gatherings. Mostly dancing, general banter and Linden bashing. Very little political discussion comes up there. We're about the same on the meter, Lil, and I have a good time when I go there. I think you would too.

OK guys..a question concerning blogs. A few people have been nagging me to start one , and against my better judgement, I may do just that, to shut them up. Blogspot seems to be pretty popular. Is that a good place to start?
