From: Jerboa Haystack My hairstyle choice is "with pony-tail or without" So my opinion is probably not the most reliable. What about the hat? How do you chose, and when do you make that choice about the hat and type of hat? Causal cowboy hat. Dirty, sweaty, work stained cowboy hat. Formal cowboy hat. Feathered/non-feathered hat. derby, duster, baseball cap, accountant visor, Judge's wig, maid's dainty piece of cloth. Wedding veil, etc.

From: Brenda Connolly A quick survey for the ladies...or style conscious guys.
When you get dressed, do you choose your hairstyle first, then an outfit, or vice versa? I seem to go 50-50. I always start off totally bare and bald, and some days I'll pick my hair first, then the clothes, or some days, I have a specific outfit I want to wear and then match up the hair? I am not fashion conscious, but this is how I dress: I always start with the clothes. Once I work out what I'm going to wear, it might take some time to find the right shoes. After I've worked out what I'm going to wear I put my time into finding the right shoes (which might mean shopping). After that, sometimes a piece of jewelry is needed. I rarely change my hair or skin, but when I have, it was the last thing. From: Brenda Connolly Oh I forgot to mention. This survey is for my PhD at the University of Lower Western North Upper Fredonia (Online Campus) I knew a girl who went there once. Her name was Abigail. Do you know her? .

Hm ... speaking as Carter now (who is the far more vain - er, fashion-conscious - of the two of us) I never, ever change my hair, so that's a given. I usually choose my outfit based upon what kind of top I want to wear - am I in the mood for a vest, shirt-and-tie, a sweater? Long sleeves or rolled sleeves, dressy or casual, tucked or rumpled? Then I choose trousers based upon which shirt I've chosen - some tops are parts of suits that I like so I can just wear the trousers that come with, other times I'll mix and match. I'll pick my shoes based upon the trousers, because some shoes look better with certain cuffs than others. Last of all comes accessories - if my sleeves are rolled I'll choose a watch or wrist-band, if the collar's open and there's no tie I might put on a necklace; if the outfit is casual I might add my newsboy cap.

Depending on that, clothes, skin, hair, horns and tail (or not), and perhaps AO, often in that order. Though sometimes I choose a skin and then see what happens from there.

Usually there's at least one item that I want to wear. either it's new, or I've just remembered I have it and want to wear it before I forget it in my inventory again. Normally start with clothes, then hair, then shoes and then socks/tights/leggins if I need them. After everything else, I might add jewelry, depends what skin is showing lol. Oh! and if I'm wearing tattoos, they go on before the jewelry. It usually comes down to me choosing a top and then trying to remember what jeans/skirts I have that goes with it. My inventory is such a mess that I only wear what I can remember or find easily.

Someone should market and sell those things. If they can hold up a phone, I wonder what else they could be used for.

Brenda's Dad. Very true. The thing is, last time I didn't answer the phone I had half of my family banging on my door wondering what had happened. They'd driven for over an hour because they thought something bad had happened. They hadn't even tried ringing my mobile or trying again in a few mins. Now I answer the phone everytime, its bloody sales calls

G'mornin, threadies! Hope all yer weekend went super! Been really busy, cuz of camp and stuff! Lemme back up to Friday. after three years and about four months of living there, I had to clear and prep for sale my home location since almost the beginning of my Second Life. Was an economic decision, but not an easy one. I can relate a lot of great things that happened there, though the last several months have been very quiet at that house. Some months ago I managed to score a plot or two in Shermerville NW, which makes for a nice -- though small -- home for me an my siblings. Anyway, Friday -- as I mentioned before -- we (my, by brother, and one aunt as time allowed) drove a "U Haul" as close to cross country as we could. Had to make allowances for both the area of the old house (all canals, no roads), and the lack of roadway from Noyo to Dore. I really recommend this kinda drive. It's an interesting way to see our world. Things start to "connect" rather than being a random set of teleport coordinates. While there still is a fair amount of blight and ugliness out there -- though not like it was before the ad farm ban -- there's also a lot of beauty to be had. Just be prepared to use a lot of time, be ready for crashes and hard sim crossings, etc. Anyway. A complete 360° from the long haul, Camp HardKnock started this weekend! This is a twice-a-year, week long immersive event for kid avvies. 100 kid avvies sold camp out in record time, and its been some serious fun since. In past years, they've had a simple drop off, but not so much this time. instead, we began at an airport, having to get our boarding pass, head through the scanner, down the jetway and to our plane. Yes, we flew to camp! Our pilot was a bit of a noob (sculpted, even!), though. We ended up having to bail out over the island and fly down on parachutes! So this is what the camp looks like. As you can see, we're really roughin' it out in the great outdoors. But we're findin' ways to occupy our time, from scary ghost stories, marshmallow roasting, and trivial contests at the campfire to fishing, boating, parasailing, an other fun stuff. here's a LM to my whole album of camp piccies, but I'm gonna indulge my vanity an put a number of 'em in a separate post.

They chastise me, because I don't use any IM's, I screen all my calls and sometimes just don't want to talk, my cell phone is off more than it's on. Sometimes I will answer the phone in a sleepy voice in the middle of the day. They ask"Oh, did I wake you.?" I answer "No, it's OK. I had to get up to answer the phone anyway?"

Now I answer the phone everytime, its bloody sales calls Claire, if your phone is with BT, get Caller Display. It's only £2.50 a month (you might need to get a different phone, depending on whether yours will handle caller display; most newer ones do) but it's invaluable for showing you when someone you *know* is calling, as opposed to a random salesperson. Click the Home Phone Security Features tab; you'll find it under there: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25504Also, register with the Telephone Preference Service, on both your landline and mobile: http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/I was getting a ridiculous number of unsolicited sales calls, both on my mobile and on my (ex-directory) landline. I registered both numbers with TPS and the unsolicited calls have dropped to almost zero. Well worth doing. (There's a Mailing Preference Service, too, if you get a lot of junk mail.)
