Well, it's set, I'll be at SLCC 2009, and will be presenting on a panel, about support and outreach in SL. I'll be there representing Virtual Ability along with our president, Gentle Heron.
/me waves at Mari and Feline, and Isablan Neva, who I see from the attendees list will also be there. Looking forward to meeting everyone in real. Anyone else?

If it had been in Vegas (there was some discussion of that as the site), I was planning on attending as there are several inexpensive flights to Vegas...more so than to SF.

Oh Tex that looks like so much fun. As a child I had a jigsaw puzzle of several balloons from the big festival in Albuquerque. I would put it together everytime I was home sick from school and it always cheered me up.
A few years ago I got to go to the real deal when we lived in Albq. Walking around all the balloons as they're setting up to take off at twilight is amazing. I have a terrible fear of heights and hate flying so I will probably never be brave enough to take a real balloon ride. |

I have given up lone explorations. Which means I've given up explorations. Waht? When did that happen? Really Lexxi when ever the mood strikes you to explore and I am online poke me to come explore with you. I have enjoyed the couple of little explores we did. |

Anyone watching the new Warehouse 13? http://www.syfy.com/warehouse13/ I have watched the pilot a few times- Can't help it- they keep playing it- anyhoo- was looking at it now and just noticed the totally cool old/new keyboard It looks like an old time type writer with wood and maybe ivory inserts but runs his computer- so neat- just thought i wd mention what with the computer and their video 2-way radios, it's obvious they've got some good semi-steampunk builders working in their props department. (well, as long as they didn't blow their wad on those two items. i'd like to see what else they come up with...) _____________________

Here's the profile of Stage 9 today (Sunday) at Le Tour De France.
 There were non climbers falling behind on the ascents and coming back together on the flat and downhill sections. On the second climb of the day a 9 man breakaway was reduced to 3 and then to two. The stage was won in a two-man sprint finish by Pierrick Fedrigo, with Franco Pellizotti coming second. The Tour leaders stayed together all day and the overall standings didn't change.
