hi kiddies. WOW! i viewed the flickr site to see everyone's homes, and was amazed at all the creativity and sense of style. i can't really pick a fave, but being the kind of girl i am, i was digging Whimseycallie/Lilith's Fairytale Land a lot. :D

I was watching the glastonbury festival on TV earlier, and I really wanted to share this with you. I've taken an instant liking to the songs, and though I prefer the live version of the first song (more acoustic-y), I still absolutely love it!
(I've put each one in img tags for those who have working links.)

She's just so creative! in that last one she's managed to ge a really eerie sound from a saw played with a violin bow. I can't wait for the videos of her Glastonbury performance to be put up.

ETA: Last one, one of my faves and the one she has on her channel wont work for me but this one seems to.

These are really intriguing, Claire. It's VERY hard to get me interested in newish music these days. So much I hear sounds like the musicians are bored with themselves - and I'm bored with them too. But this is quite innovative. Reminds me ever so slightly of Clannad from the 80's and 90's, but less poppish.

What I don't get are some of the names for groups these days. This is one of those with "For" in the name. First Death Cab For Cuties, and now Bat For Lashes. Have we run out of names? Why can't group names make sense as they did in my day -- like Moby Grape, or Strawberry Alarm Clock.

Oh wait . . .

So, after done posing for ads, my alt TPd away, realized that Home setting was no longer valid and she was nude and in a newbie area, so I TPd her back real quick. When she arrived, this is what she looked like -- to her, to me, and to Dances:

Her body came back after I put clothes on her - very odd.

hehe, this is one of the best reactions I've seen for a picture of me and . . . it isn't my picture. heh. As in I didn't take it, it is of me, but not by me.

If I could do that, I wouldn't need to play SL.

$1189 train, hotel (within relative walking distance of the three plays), 3 plays. no food.

$0 stay home and rest for five days.

I am conflicted.

The plays would be Blithe Spirit, Perfect Crime, The 39 Steps.

Spirit has Rupert Everett, Christine Ebersole, Jayne Atkinson, Angela Lansbury

Perfect Crime - Catherine Russell, Patrick Ryan Sullivan, Richard Shoberg, Michael Brian Dunn, Patrick Robustelli

The 39 Steps has Arnie Burton, Jeffrey Kuhn, Sean Mahon, Jill Paice

I only recognize Everett and Lansbury.

Thanks, Nika. That's the one.

You know, about Billy Mays, I saw a short interview with him on TV and he seemed like a really nice guy. I only knew him from the Oxy Clean commercials and others - they were SO irritating, but he looked like someone who would have been good to know.

Wow, thanks for posting pics of the home tour, those that did. I didn't even make it halfway through, but really enjoyed my peek at the homes I saw. I loved Weston's original art, as well as his refreshments, heehee (toilet water was just one of the offerings). Carter's hashish house was wonderful, so many details, including clothes lying on the floor. Gabrielle's was wonderfully spooky, Brenda's house was just soooo Brenda, and I left off the parachute at Seven's when I jumped off the skybox! Leila, loved the artwork, especially the landscape. Would you mind sharing who the artist is?

Many of you indicated your home is always open, so I intend to continue exploring as I have time. CX and I leave the ground open to the public, so feel free to come and explore. I'll leave the TP to the skybox there for a while, for those who wish to continue the tour, and like me, had limited time this weekend.

The tour was a great idea, Joshooah! So glad you pursued it and made it happen!

Smartass Answer No One: What's stopping you from wearing a lampshade on your head?

Smartass Answer No. 2: Didn't know you knew him that well.

I had this error too, disconcerting is not the word! The other error I've been getting is the one where the AV disappears, leaving the clothing, hair, and UGH! eyeballs... completely gross looking. I'm thinking it's only happened with the Snowglobe viewer.

G'mornin an G'night thread folks! I hope hope everybuggy had a super weekend!

I had a pretty busy weekend this time about, maybe too much 'cuz I've been kinda sick most of today . but the rest of the weekend? Wow.

First off, Friday. This had a kinda personal moment in amongst all the fun an stuff. More'n two years ago I had a very, very bad falling out with a RL and SL friend. One of the people who I followed into SL, in fact. Friday, after all this time, we were able to sit down and reconcile. We're back to being friends, though I know we're both still a bit unsure after all this time how it'll all work out. I'm pretty optimistic about it all.

Also on Friday, I Got myself to some of the SL6B events, including hearing about the future with the Omniprim, and doing the bunny hop with friends at my friend Holocluck's retro-future build. That was some fun! Here's a shot of alla us.

Saturday, in addition to my weekly fireworks an Pygar's fishing tournament (that group chat bug sure is annoying, by th' way. Was hard to get word out about either!), I took part in the birthday party for -RC- Cluster. It is prob'ly no surprise that I'm a huuuge fan of that store, so I just had to participate!

I started off with the big lunch at Redd's place, which consisted of her tossing jes about every food item she's ever sold on alla us. An look at the size of the crowd in that kitchen!

She had an obstacle course that was super hard, but I managed to take second place in. Yay for all the obstacle course practice I've done at camp HardKnock and HardKnock Elementary! My Brother Pygar also won the big showcase prize in her Let's Make A Deal game -- he won A NEWWW CARRR! He was really happy, as you can see.

There was also a huuuge salchicha pick where I managed to get a whole lotta stuff from Redd's store that I did't have before. She also gave out some stuff she's not had in the store, like the ol' bull dryer (complete with tack!). Here I am, out for a ride.

An that's the weekend. Hope everybuggy has a super week ahead!
