In five years do you want to have memories of going to the shows or memories of saving the money and having a nice rest?

hmmm...good question, Kaimi, lol.

And Happy Monday, Threadies :)

wowser...prepare to harden your arteries!

It says its the Steakhouse Scrambler: Crispy fried breakfast potatoes and scrambled eggs served with grilled sirloin steak strips, sautéed fresh mushrooms, beef gravy, Swiss cheese, creamy Hollandaise sauce...with fresh fruit and toast on the side.

Looks outrageously good, if you like red meat (which I do), but I think I'll just take the fruit this am. And maybe I can pick around stuff to get some of the eggs. :p

Thread has slowed down, ideal time for a vanity shot ;)

An early one of Gabriele, probably in her first skin and shape and definitely whilst still alive.

NOTE: The sunset was pre-windlight too :)

This morning I logged in as Moth and got busy building. I'm trying to get the hard stuff done first - all the angled pieces, then I'll do the walls.

But it was difficult! I couldn't make the triangles go the way I wanted, so I stopped and took a break.

I visited my friend Ari in her new store (Vent du sud), and tried out her dance floor:

Then I figured a trip to the Ivory Tower of Primitives wouldn't hurt. I did the first three tutorials.

While I was posing for this picture, I heard what I *thought* was a guy picking up a girl. In the Ivory Tower, of all places! Turned out though they already knew each other. She must have tp'd him in. (Then they both tp'd out - nudge, nudge, say no more!)

Well, already lost my chance. If I'd done it at 11pm last night, I could have. But now the hotels are not available. I even had my credit card ready also. heh

oh well.

How was Ari's dance floor? (it's very pretty)

Mentioning the Ivory Tower reminds me that I wanted to stop by there this week and take some tutorials. :)

and LOL on your boy meets girl story. (and the Monty Python reference...yay! )

Lexxi, if you want to be adventurous you can perhaps try it a different way. Get a hotel outside of the city. Take the train into Jersey and get a place say 30 minutes or away. Take the local train into the city to see your shows. If you aren't set on what shows to see and don't mind standing in line, you can go to the Half Price booth at Times Square. It's day of show, and you have to choose from what's available, but I've seen some greatnot, just let me know, I'll be happy to assist you. :)

Lexxi, are you at all interested a weekend on the Shenandoah River? I ask because my sister and I rented a really nice cottage on the river, and it wasn't very expensive at all...it took us about...a hour and an half to drive there.

Very peaceful and relaxing. Lots of fresh air and the sound of the river was very soothing.

lol, we went the weekend the final Harry Potter book came out. Amazon delivered our books, we hopped in the car, and as soon as we got to the cabin and settled in, we began our marathon reading of our books! :D

Thanks. :) I had to go with the hotels I was looking at because they were inches from the three theaters. Ok, within three blocks. There are still a few hotels on the package list, but they are further out. I was trying to keep it within walking distance. And my knee is oddly off at moment. So walking distance is within five blocks or so (not including parking spot in garage to train, just in Washington DC part, my normal commute involves walking about 6 blocks to work from train station, then 6 blocks back from work to train station; and I can still walk that distance).

I walked all over London ten years ago. Late at night. Taking the last train back to Cambridge about 2 to 3 times a week to see plays in London (only famous people I saw, were George Wendt and Judd Hirsch in a play called "Art"; one was a Shakespeare play, though that one was in where-ever that place is located. One or two were Noel Coward, one was Agatha Christie, one was a play that still causes me to shudder in fear, heh).

Even saying all that, the idea of wandering New York is slightly frightening.

I've gone whitewater rafting on the Shenandoah, and I went to college in Shenandoah valley. Great area :)

I was looking for some way to see some good plays. Kennedy center will have some later in the year, including some rather famous actors. But that is later in the year. You can see good plays in Washington DC (I saw 12 Angry Men, or whatever that one was called, here, with George Wendt, and Noel Cowards . . .um . .well, a play by him, and that red-headed comedian whose name I can't recall now, also saw Bob Newheart, and had tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld, but was ill that day :(). The entertainment here, though, is hit or miss. Very scattered.

I'm glad to hear someone say that. The little dude is freaking me out a bit as well. LOL

Howdy all!!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend.
I haven't caught up with the thread yet, but how did the Saturday tour go? I'm hoping it was enough of a sucess that folks will want to do another one at some point.

I'm off to do my Monday morning catch up reading and maybe a little work at the office as well.

In that case case, while staying home and resting, see if you can find a spa close to home and have yourself pampered one day. ;)
