LOL! It was your viewer Lexxi; mine wasn't much better. We never quite looked synched up together.

When I'd walk over to Ghosty's machine it looked perfectly fine - we were dancing like professionals :)

/me raises an eyebrow.
Aren't you the same person that reported last week that you were visited by the cable guy? You seem to get a lot of visits from service dudes... and they always seem to... um... come early. :p

If it makes you feel better - Ghosty is home with me.

There - now picture THAT :D

Like playing with dolls?

I had a conversation with one of my aunts this weekend. We were at a family gathering and my mother made some remark about me and SL. My aunt's eyebrows shot up and she said, "Do you do that?" and when I said "yes" she went off in a gale of laughter.

She kept asking me questions and no matter what I said she found it outrageously funny.

She asked, "What do you do there?" I said, "Right now I'm building a house."

After she laughs for a while she asks, "What will you do with it?" (I think she pictured me furnishing a tiny house with tiny furniture, like in a Beatrix Potter story, so I did NOT say I was going to live in it.) I said, "When I'm done, if it's any good, other people might buy it." She laughs for half a minute.

"What will they buy it with?" so I explain about lindens. She laughs. She asks how you get lindens. I say you buy them. ha ha ha! And can you turn them into real money? Yes you can. ha ha ha! How do you do that? There is a currency exchange on the secondlife website. ha ha ha!

"In fact," I say, "There is a man who made enough money in second life to buy himself a convertible sports car."

She looks at me and her face twitches like she is about to collapse to the floor in hysterics, and she says, "In real life?"

And when I say, "Yeah," she just goes wild with laughter.

I haven't even considered trying to catch up to the thread yet, but thought I'd make a quick post.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the Cartel B-Day party. I hope a great time was had by all.

What's that have to do with whether or not Ghosty walks around wearing a llama head?

For once I am plugging a version of the LL viewer -- though it is definitely supposed to be considered still in Alpha. That's right, ALPHA, not even BETA yet. But it is working absolutely fabulous for me. It has all of the features of the 1.23.4 viewer but actually performance better than anything I have experienced with any viewer (LL or third party).

Their Snow Globe viewer: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Snowglobe

And for those that like to play around with the effects -- it does have the Shadows ability in it.
:)

For now, i will keep trying it. I have all my graphics maxed out and have increased my bandwidth as well -- no packet loss, quick rezzing everywhere, awesome fps, etc.....

Thanks, Lil...I'm going to give this one a try tonight!

I have 80 edited pics from the party and my count puts the total number of people at roughly 65 -- very nice turnout for the day.

I'll get mine all uploaded tomorrow since it will take a bit of time to get 80 up there.

80!!! Wow!
