I caught the tail end of the affair, and my compliments to the staff, the place looked fabulous! Thanks especially to JamesMichael for a lovely time dancing, and to ThreeR for feeling me up when we danced. It was a dream come true.

boo-hiss....I missed you. :(

But I saw a pic of you...magnificent. :) Glad you had a good time. :)

I'm sure everyone got some fantastic pictures of the party. Mine didn't turn out great. I forgot to change the WindLight settings and it was getting dark!

Your pics are great, Weston! And I enjoyed seeing you in both canine and human forms. :)

I'm so glad Cee & I were able to make it to the party, it was great! Thanks so much all, for putting it together. I posted a few pics to the Cartel photo stream (http://www.flickr.com/groups/forumcartel/)

I particularly like this one of Jerboa winking at us while dancing with Mo:

:D

I'm somewhat behind here due to being busy with RL stuff. All the party pictures look fantastic, wish I could have been there too.

As promised, here are some pics of me wearing the new prim lashes I got from Amaranthim:

And here are the ones from 3Ring:

Beautiful work, girls, you rock! I totally love them!
(If these aren't visible enough, larger versions of the pics are clickable from my blog.)

Yay!! Those eyelashes look fabulous in both pics...the first one...very patriotic looking! :D

Hey does anyone know how I can email a particular Linden? I have her first name... she replied to my support ticket, but I can't get in-world right now and I wanted to follow up with an email. Would it be just first name@lindenlabs.com or what?

Good Morning!

I am very chipper since the refrigerator repair man showed up 8am, not on the end of the time window (noon). Makes my day much less complicated.

Wonderful party last night, great DJ's, stunning outfits one and all (once they rezzed :p ). Thanks to the planners for the room makeover, another great job of transformation. It was particularly nice to see some people in person that I had not seen in a long time. Alas, the only pictures I was able to capture were some group shots since the lag was tremendous on my end (let alone a couple of crashes). I haven't even looked at them yet, if they are "ok" I'll post them later.

yay...glad the repair guy showed up so early...nice to have your day to yourself without having to worry about hanging around, waiting for his arrival. :)

It was good to see you and Ghosty at the festivities. As noted....that green dress looked divine on you. :)

Hello, threadians.

I didn't make it to the party... nutthin to wear!

No, really, I had a busy busy (busy) weekend, RL parties (plural!), father's day (not as tearful as expected - saw my grandparents). When I *did* get to SL, I was BUILDING.

I've really fallen in love with making things. It used to seem horrendously complicated, but now I get it. I make calculations, create the pieces, fill in the position and size numbers, and the piece snaps into place! (And then somehow needs many many adjustments.)

I am scarfing down a breakfast burrito as we speak - minus the tortilla, to avoid carbs. Nice salsa - piccante!

Mari - loved the bridge and UP! photos - I saw that movie. Didn't expect to be moved, but I was. Cried near the beginning, it was so unexpected.

but oh, I am working on my THIRD skybox. The first one was awful. The second one, after much work turned out to be massively too big to go over my house. (it didn't occur to me to see how big the lot is.) I already remade this third one from scratch three times. I will finish it and then make something ***smaller*** and prettier. My builder friend is going to come over some morning to show me some tricks, which I am really looking forward to.

.

I am sorry you couldn't be there...but I was glad to see you on Saturday!

Hey folks! had a great time last night - even though Carter stuffed me in my cage and took over the DJing duties for herself :P Anyway thanks for a great time. I'm enjoying everyone's pictures and can't wait to see more of them go up on the flickr group. Am already giggling at this one Nika/Litta put up:

Stormy and her two handsome backup dancers, Carter and Garrett. *grin*

Great shot of Carter and the backup band, Madhu!

Loved the music!

(note that lindenlab is SINGULAR)

so

voldemort@lindenlab.com

(hope there IS no Voldemort Linden!)

is there an Unterden Linden? (is that an old joke?)

I had a conversation with one of my aunts this weekend. We were at a family gathering and my mother made some remark about me and SL. My aunt's eyebrows shot up and she said, "Do you do that?" and when I said "yes" she went off in a gale of laughter.

She kept asking me questions and no matter what I said she found it outrageously funny.

She asked, "What do you do there?" I said, "Right now I'm building a house."

After she laughs for a while she asks, "What will you do with it?" (I think she pictured me furnishing a tiny house with tiny furniture, like in a Beatrix Potter story, so I did NOT say I was going to live in it.) I said, "When I'm done, if it's any good, other people might buy it." She laughs for half a minute.

"What will they buy it with?" so I explain about lindens. She laughs. She asks how you get lindens. I say you buy them. ha ha ha! And can you turn them into real money? Yes you can. ha ha ha! How do you do that? There is a currency exchange on the secondlife website. ha ha ha!

"In fact," I say, "There is a man who made enough money in second life to buy himself a convertible sports car."

She looks at me and her face twitches like she is about to collapse to the floor in hysterics, and she says, "In real life?"

And when I say, "Yeah," she just goes wild with laughter.

.

LOL!! Great story.

It is always nice to make someone laugh. :)

Indeed. The whole reason for the early request was Ghosty has a preliminary interview this afternoon for a new job and we're taking the ride together. We were concerned about the timing because this first interview isn't where the job is - it's like an hour south of here, although the job is close to home.

BTW it was good seeing you guys there too - and your dress was amazing. I got a closer look today with all the Flickr pix, camming around last night was a bit rough, and it was one of the lovliest of the evening.
