Hello everyone... this one I simply can NOT let die

I own a no covenant non estate mature parcel of Land

last night I displayed a large American flag to commerate and support our troups, veterans
and celebration of Memorial Day...

this flag was on My Land on my deck and a authentic red white and blue USA flag and certainly not infringing in any way on adjacent Land parcels

today I received the flag returned to my INV and a TOS warning stating the flag was used
to intimidate and HARASS other Second Life patrons and against Linden Labs Community Standards... and that any further use will result in suspension or ban or both...

I would appreciate any comment from the Community as to how flying the flag on Memorial Day is in any possible way a form of harassment or intimidation?

secondly should I let this die or inform management and execs at Linden Labs that those we should be thanking every day for our rights and freedoms in this country are being chastised scolded and threatened for displaying the flag on Memorial Day

I think it's shameful...

Lovely pics Lil! hope you're having a fabulous time!

Finally got some sunshine here last night and today. Spent last night in the town centre listening to some live music which was cool and spent tonight in the garden with the BBQ.
I'm out of practice though...one glass of wine and I was tipsy lol.

I just hope the sun is here to stay....after spending 3 days walking around town in the rain it was getting annoying.

Good afternoon Threadites :)

Back from our family outing- today is my son's birthday and we went to Dave & Busters - http://www.daveandbusters.com/Promotions/Default.aspx?id=2764
Loads of fun! We ate a fabulous meal then shot monsters and aliens and raced cars and snow skis :). Home now and about to crash in pile by the tv, people and doggies - the rains are again promising. I hope it pours!

Who returned it to you? LL or your Estate Owner/Manager.. if its the first put a ticket in and demand a formal explanation of the reason. I would love to see LL explain publicly why they think the American flag is intimidating.

Oh, I didn't want trouble. heh. I just knew I was inviting it by being naked and being in those areas.

As 3Ring might or might not be able to note, when she started trotting towards people, I didn't follow. And I noted that I tended to stay away from people.

It's not obvious to me why anyone shouldn't be allowed to have any flag on their own property. Could it somehow possibly be that it is disrespectful of Old Glory to display it in a virtual environment? Like those people who leave it outside, un-illuminated after dark, or after it has become raggedy?

This i had not considered and do believe there is more to this tale than meets the eye. There is an Iraq War Memorial and we even had a thread about such things not that long ago. Unless the world has gone completely mad, i do not believe our flag woudl get banned. Anything is possible including misderection - let's try and find out more.

It could be the linden that returned it was responding to an AR that was bogus... and was too busy to check things out trying to get through the weekend overflow

Definitely, find out more. On all my ships, sky or water, there is a flag which can be changed to any one of many different countries, states, or causes.

I change the flag depending on my mood, [jolly roger to scare people], or what is currently in the news, e.g., the flag of China during the olympics, US flag certainly for our many holidays, etc.
