LOL! You look like you found the right place for trouble! :D

But..but..your boots...you won't be able to move very quickly if you have to move! :p

I can think of at least one person who shouldn't show up in that dark alley...

Three and Seven should get together for some pics...a perfect 10.

Lula's eyes are simply mesmerizing, Skell is incredibly stylish and Amara is just beautiful.

That's enough gushing and fawning.

Nope, none of them. In fact, after seeing ST I IMDB'ed him and was shocked to see he wasn't American. What is up with that, the trend of Aussies and kiwis playing Yanks in movies and TV? I'm not complaining, some of those guys are Fair Dinkum, but it seems to be in style. Does the reverse happen down there, are there a lot of American guys running around with fake accents in the movies?

I know! I'm constantly amazed when I see/hear someone from the UK/Ireland/Australia/NZ portraying a character from the US. I can never catch a hint of their hometown accent.

And you're right..I don't often see a US actor portray (with any credibility) someone with an accent other then their own.

Exceptions...let's see...Meryl Streep was pretty good...Gwyneth Paltrow, not bad....ummm...

*hears crickets*

Heh, maybe it's more for the folks from across the water to say whether or not some Yank's done a good job. :)

Good morning forum denizens.

It's raining hard in Tennessee. Looks like one of those lazy Sundays to curl up with your favorite person and a good book or an old movie. Or to run around SL with no specific goal.

I love this kind of day. Enjoy.

Hi Weston! Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. :) Rainy Sundays are awesome. (oooh, especially a rainy Sunday when Monday's a holiday!)

I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing day. :)

/me grins. You were at the wedding. You saw that bridesmaid lapdance couch. You KNOW it's true ;)

And here is a beautiful thing that I finally rezzed today after letting it sit in my inventory for way too long. It's Ravish Tyne's *gorgeous* Lodo Loft skybox:

Isn't that a beauty? More info at the pic's main page. (And no, it wasn't cheap...)

She: "Why do *you* have to manage our money? You are controlling and secretive and sexist and *I* want to do it!"

He: "I am an accountant and you are a nurse who admits to needing a calculator to do simple multiplication. You look at my household budget spreadsheets briefly and say they are too complicated."

She: "I don't care. We are equal in this relationship."

He: "Except I work 12 hour days compared with your 30 hour part-time job and bring in over twice as much as you."

She: "But I clean the toilet."

Pep (End of conversation)
Ha ha. If I were the accountant (to a feminist, such as I, the genders of the two parties is immaterial) that toilet cleaning thing would certainly shut me up.

as do you. are all you male brits obnoxious or just you?

This is beneath you Damien. Most of my living relatives happen to be British and they are all wonderful people. Not that I don't understand your irritation with Pep. He has been doing his best to arouse it for quite some time.

I'm afraid that Pep comes here to lash out at frustrations he can't quite handle in real life. As long as he gets attention for being a jerk here he feels as if he has some control in his life.

It might be frustrating for everyone at first but I think if we could all totally ignore his bad behavior and give him some positive attention for his good we might all feel better in the long run. I know this sounds like so much psychobabble but I have seen it work before.

Of course to some extent I guess the rest of us probably need someone who is enough of a jerk that we can feel righteous taking our own frustrations out on him.

It's just him.

Much better today, thank you :)

I'm sorry that I caused any offence or upset with my word choice, Kaimi. That was not my intention.
No no. Your comment was perfectly harmless and I knew it was the moment I saw it. I should have made that clear before I launched into complaining about someone else's grievous misappropriation of the word. You were just quoting her.

Yes, I have found this to be true also. The star of 'House' is British in RL, but does not speak with a british accent...don't really know why that decision was made, to me it wouldn't have affected the character if he was british  BTW, the guy who plays the role, Hugh Laurie, is just the cutest...:o

I didn't realize how much he toned himself down for the mainstream audience! It will be interesting to see what he does next.

Oh yes. That was a great movie...great movie.

You mentioned it's a beautiful place. It is. In fact, growing up, when we'd go to spend some time at my uncle's marker, my mom would have packed a picnic lunch. All through the cemetery, I could see family groups, around their family member's graves, doing the same thing; sharing the day with their lost family member.

Just out of curiosity, was this a somber meal?

saw a clip on hulu about Hugh and how he got the role of house, was interesting to watch, and listen to him with his normal accent

LOVE that show, he is perfect for the role.

On a side note, he plays Dr Cockroach on the movie Monsters vs Aliens, and it is hard to believe it is his voice hehe.

Edited to fix, was not youtube, was hulu that I saw the clip
