No one is required to lose their femininity or masculinity, but those who find themselves to be other than typically masculine or feminine deserve the same respect as anyone else.

all powerful stuffs you said, but this hits the nail on the head.

now, which thread is it we are all talking about? i'd really like to go see what it's all about. surely i have an opinion.... :p

edit: nm. i figured out which thread all this feminist talk is about. *sigh*

I stood on the deck of Intrepid and thought about Memorial Day, and thanking them and all those currently serving and realized while we should be grateful to them, the day really isn't about them, thankfully. They have not had to make that ultimate sacrifice, and hopefully never will. I hope that Lula's son, Maureen's nephew, the loved one's of any others here, and my own brother and several other family members never have to be really thanked on Memorial Day. I'd rather we did that on Veteran's Day.

Also we tend to focus on the Armed Forces on days like today, but I always use it as a time to remember our civilian uniformed service people as well, be they Police, Fire or EMS, who have also given all they had for us. Sadly, people dear to me number in this category, and they should be remembered as well.

Enough editorializing.

i love your passion, and i thank you for speaking for me. this. all of this! *hugs*

I posted a pic here just a few days ago. Is it ok to do it again? I am not sure if it's good forum etiquette to post here since we have the "Sexy avatar" thread in the gallery too.

And I'm not in here regularly, so I often miss to say "thank you" for comments and compliment others. I will not look rude. This thread speed up several pages in just a day.

As is evident, it is more than acceptable to post as many pictures here as you like (damn that restriction to five in a single post!) preferably with your own avatar prominently displayed, showing as much flesh as possible without transgressing the PG nature of the forums. If you can claim that you have won prizes with the photos (whether judged by your close associates or complete strangers) all the better.

As is also obvious, vanity is compulsory, and taste and talent unnecessary; you will receive much praise regardless, although if you do possess a smidgeon of either you may find that others will avoid posting their own photos in close proximity, or even leave the thread altogether to post where they feel less threatened.

Pep (Oh, and please feel free to include the original pics when you quote and comment on them; seeing the same photo six times in a page isn't that boring, is it?)

PS If you run out of pictures of your avatar just post a photo of a wet dog or two; you don't even have to own them - there are plenty on Google images.

:) I had a feeling. It's always good for people to share the work in a way that suits them both.

She: "Why do *you* have to manage our money? You are controlling and secretive and sexist and *I* want to do it!"

He: "I am an accountant and you are a nurse who admits to needing a calculator to do simple multiplication. You look at my household budget spreadsheets briefly and say they are too complicated."

She: "I don't care. We are equal in this relationship."

He: "Except I work 12 hour days compared with your 30 hour part-time job and bring in over twice as much as you."

She: "But I clean the toilet."

Pep (End of conversation)

I don't give a rat's ass what some pompous brit thinks of my pics. It is is that you have chosen to be a complete ass for so long and have continued to belittle many others in this forum.

the word idiot originated in the 1300's, and surely was not first used to describe a woman - of that i have no doubt. :p

Perhaps you should retake that history class 3Ring, since the word idiot derives from the Greek "idiotes" meaning ignorant person (not man) and I know the 14th century might seem a long time ago to you but the Greeks were around a long time before that.

Pep (you might want to look up the meaning of ignorant as well)

Turning feminist, Damien?

Wow, more fantastic pics, Skell! I really loved the jack-o-lantern one. (but I'm partial to Halloween. :D)

Thanks for the pics - and for the slurl. :)

How are you feeling today?
Much better today, thank you :)

From: Kaimi Kyomoon
Please let's not call that thread feminist. I know you mean the thread that is pretending its arguments have some validity by by pretending to be about women's rights. But those of us who actually are feminists find that pretty insulting. Although I didn't read much of it so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
I'm sorry that I caused any offence or upset with my word choice, Kaimi. That was not my intention.
