Hello everyone... this one I simply can NOT let die

I own a no covenant non estate mature parcel of Land

last night I displayed a large American flag to commerate and support our troups, veterans
and celebration of Memorial Day...

this flag was on My Land on my deck and a authentic red white and blue USA flag and certainly not infringing in any way on adjacent Land parcels

today I received the flag returned to my INV and a TOS warning stating the flag was used
to intimidate and HARASS other Second Life patrons and against Linden Labs Community Standards... and that any further use will result in suspension or ban or both...

I would appreciate any comment from the Community as to how flying the flag on Memorial Day is in any possible way a form of harassment or intimidation?

secondly should I let this die or inform management and execs at Linden Labs that those we should be thanking every day for our rights and freedoms in this country are being chastised scolded and threatened for displaying the flag on Memorial Day

I've flown The Flag before, and I see flags all over the mainland. Did a neighbore file an AR against you, maybe?

Oh boy, here we go again...just like in RL where you can't display Nativity scenes and so forth, one of your neighbors probably complained that they shouldn't have to be exposed to a US flag, if they themselves are not americans or some such nonsense

Who returned it to you? LL or your Estate Owner/Manager.. if its the first put a ticket in and demand a formal explanation of the reason. I would love to see LL explain publicly why they think the American flag is intimidating.

If it is your Estate Owner/Manager.. pick up and move to a different place.

If this is a case of someone not liking to see a national flag, ANY national flag on someone else's land and LL caved, then that really says a lot..and none of it good. I would definitely demand an explanation.

Don't know about getting the whole story or not, it's just IMHO, everywhere and everything is becoming so PC anymore that it wouldn't surprise me to hear such a thing; it's shameful if it turns out to be the situation here.

LL is become so spinelessly vanilla, it wouldn't surprise me either. Maybe they will create a Patriotic Continent.

I think I will submit a ticket but in truth am affraid I then will get banned, I dont want any trouble but I feel this is a huge slap in the face of all the service men and women and veterans

I don't think I've ever heard about anyone having problems because of political or religious displays on their own property in real life.

I would call them, besides a ticket.And as far as a suspension goes, if they said that just displaying your flag was an offense, then personally, I would be telling them what to do with their account anyway.

Soetimes people who live is "Planned communities" or condominium developoments get flack because they want a uniform look, and that is usually defined in the homeowners agreement.

What part of the TOS does the flag violate. This sounds a weird.. I have a hard time thinking the lindens would be this clueless. Maybe your estate manager can help you get some answers via his concierge support.

meaning that I own the parcel with "No Covenant"

I am not purchasing/leasing/renting the Land from any Estate Management or Land Baron
entity... I pay tier to Linden Labs not a Estate Management Company

my point was to show that I am not under any Estate guidelines or covenants for use,
design etc...
