I did finally manage to join this Friday Night Horseback Ride. A great bunch of folks and the ride was a lot of fun. I'll being doing this again as soon as I'm able. I even got to meet 3Ring and Amaranthim briefly at the end of the ride.

The friday ride was at the Nomanisan sims. I'd highly recommend adding this one to your "places to explore" list. It's 9 sims that make up a mountianous island. Beautiful landscaping through out with some of the best beaches I've seen in SL.

it was fun Tex. shortly after the ride, I BOUGHT A HORSE! :)

If I were you I would be more worried about the glow emanating from your halter top.

Pep (have you checked that they haven't turned into headlights?)

The top is painted on since the kilt did not come with one- so no glow possible- reflection from the feet! Nope, not last time I checked, but imagine how handy that could be in dark places!

From: Marianne McCann
Check "Show light radius" from your "Tools" menu. Right click and edit your necklace. See if a big white sphere goes around you. If not, then try the other prim parts: the tail, the belt, etc. I suspect someting in there does have a prim set to light.

Mari

I didn't know about Check Light Radius- thanks! But no, it isn't the necklace, I made tath and it is not set to glow. It was definitely the boots. another denizen of Hell kindly pointed out where it was coming from and I changed footwear.

From: Maureen Boccaccio
And Amara, regardless of your lighting issues...your demoness is smoking hot.

Success! :) Thank you. & @ 3, thanks you too.

Good morning threadies!

Odd weekend for me...FOUR various, non-related friends told me they were leaving SL...makes me very, very sad.

The agency I modeled for...closed down...makes me very sad too.

Met a couple of new friends....makes me happy.

And...purchased a women's clothing store inworld...makes me very happy except now I have to start making clothing...makes me terrified but thrilled!

Awww...Honey...sorry about your friends' departure...will you be able to keep in touch, regardless?

And boo hiss on the demise of the modeling agency ---but you were thinking of quitting...yes?

And woo hoo on the new friends (:)) and the new store!

i'll be thinking that all day, i'm certain. LOL

so, do you think they'll go along like nothing ever happened, apologize, or make a big thing out of it and cause me to quit from the stress? (i don't do drama well)

vote now. :p

My fingers are crossed for door #2, but I'm expecting door #1. If you get door #3, call me and I'll come get tough with them.

Howdy folks!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and that all of our British friends are safe and warm with all the snow there.

Limited time for me in SL this weekend. Sorry I missed Claire's party, sounds like everyone had a great time.

Finally just to put in my 2 cents worth, the Super Bowl was a good game which is not always the case. Too bad the wrong team won. The commercials didn't seem quite on par with past years.

*waves at Tex*

Thank you, Tex, for the good suggestion! :)

*adds Nomanisan sims to "must-see" list*

Just rumminating....

I know many have had a down turn in sales, my self included. I find myself getting bored of the makings too at times - I suppose it's because I work my fingers off on some piece and then when all done and I think it's pretty spectacular it doesn't cause a major firestorm or even much interest.

So have been going walkabout more often. Alone mostly too, since friend's times never quite coincide. Have seen some pretty neat places lately - Annabelle Babbi took me to Hell last night- awesome build they have going there- I hope to return and explore some more- don't recall where it was but took LM's. Found Roissy Castle of Story of O fame- very pretty residential area- next time I get in-world I think I will look at Blake Sea from my PC- the reflections in the water are amazing when seen with better graphix- wish my PC was more comfy though!

Didn't really care who won and it WAS a good game, penalties aside (and a lot of the penalties were calculated - may as well take a ten yard penalty and replay the down than have the quarterback sacked for ten yards and lose the down in the process). Still, had to feel for Warner and Fitzgerald and the camera zoom on Fitzgerald after Pittsburgh's TD was classic (and at least he said, "OOOHHHH, NNNOOOOO!" instead of something worse).

As for being at work (replying to another post), the problem with working out of the house is, once you pick up your cell phone, there you are, at work. I think walking the Scotties three times a day counts as 'not at work'. Otherwise, pretty much there all day. Even stopping for coffee, now that Caribou Coffee has a free hot point.

If anyone knows how to land on their feet and come up doing twelve exciting things at once, it's you, Honeybear.

My money's on you. And don't forget to add your store to the list of Cartel merchants. Who's keeping that thing these days, anyway?

Transaction is currently at a stall. We'll see how it progresses this afternoon.

And if it doesn't go through...I think I'll just go dancing :)

Yer welcome! I dun believe that was "glow" so much as local light. No matter, as they both tend to get abused. Nice necklace, by th' by.

as usual, great stories with great pics to help us get the full flavor. :D

is that Cousin It? lol

Thankoo, 3Ring. Maybe it was Cousin It's sibling. It was sorta like the ruffles on a flapper dress, if those ruffles went all the way up a person. Very different outfit, but sort fit in this group.

My graphic card isnt one that can use the Shadowdraft viewer, so nope! Here comes spring!

(Over the next week or so, you'll actually see the snow "melt" in Livingtree. Ground textures are changing every couple days)

But the "shopping during the Super Bowl" story reminded me - when I lived in San Diego, my roommate and I would go to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday. Best day of the year to go...we could hop on any ride, with no waiting! :D
What a great idea! Twenty years ago my son and I discovered that if you go to Disneyland the week before L.A. schools have their winter break you have the place to yourself, no waiting for anything.

From: Jerboa Haystack
I didn't pay too much attention to the commercials this year.
At my house we thought it was kind of odd that whoever-it-was paid all that money for 3d Superbowl commercials but didn't really make any arrangements for us to have the special glasses needed to see them.

From: 3Ring Binder
here's hoping for/dreading 3, expecting 1, doubting 2.

.oO(i have mixed feelings of what i want the end result to be) LOL and *sigh*
Oh dear this all sounds way too stressful. I hope it's resolved soon and you like the outcome.

Thanks for the great party, Claire. I managed to get a few pictures.

wow cool pics! I uploaded mine last night:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/claire_silverspar/

eugh...normally I love snow, but today I'm making an exception. I managed to fall over 3 times withing 10 minutes of leavign the house, my bus didn't turn up after waiting at the bus stop for half an hour, finally got a different bus ten minutes before I was due to arrive where I was supposed to be. This bus dropped me off well out of my way, so I then had to get a black cab. Finally got there, late, to find out everyone else was late.

Oh what a great day. :/

It is pretty though....specially when I'm snuggly warm in the flat with a cup of hot choc and lookign out the window at the blizzard.

Honey, sorry bout the friends leaving at the agency closing...bummer :(

Lindal - I'm still doing the Cartel Business thing. Was gonna send out another reminder to folks in case it needed updating.
