People spend 4 grand on home theaters for the Superbowl. It's bigger than Jesus.

but...but...It's football. Sports.
We don't even get the day off for the World Cup!

I live in Colorado - our football team's colors (the Denver Broncos) are Orange and Blue (an absolutely disgusting combination of colors). People here actually have painted their house that color combination.

I have never understood the insanity of people in regards to sports.

Is religion any better? People need something larger than themselves to latch on to. As these things go, football is a pretty harmless.

/me is soo not a sports fan :D

Hey Lil- trying to cause stress and trials and tribulations over at PP- must have succeeded- it crashed me.

On other subject- when my PC died and was reincarnated it came back with teeny "print" - all the fonts are super teeny on the web. I have tried the settings in the Display but it did not affect what I see on line- I am going blind here people- what the heck do i need to change?

TIA

This is true, though I never really understood the need to grasp onto either actually.

The general web font size is set in your browser Amaranthim. In Firefox3 the menu option is View and then Zoom In or Out. I can't remember what the IE menu option is but it will be something similar I am sure.

I have never understood the need for people to join any sort of artificial community to be honest . . .

Amar, if you are on IE - check that you are viewing at 100%. (bottom left corner) If you are, tap your alt key, click View > Text Size....then you can choose the size you prefer.

Steelers win.

Which means I should have an easy day at work since most of the area will take the day off.

I spent my Super Bowl eating & watch cartoons.

Yea, I'm not a "sports" guy. Altho every May I'll watch the sumo wrestling matches online. LOVE it!!!

Welcome to South West Pennsylvania!! Where we'd rather have our kids be "football superstars" instead of something with a PhD.

I came back from the grocery store. I was the ONLY person in the store & on the road!

OMG! I laughed SOOOO hard!! I blew thru every stoplight!! Not a frickin' cop in sight!!!

I was doing 90 on a road that's 45mph and had ZERO fear of any cops being out!!

Ah! Now I hear the fireworks & gunfire. Definitely.... Steelers won. From what I saw it was like beating up a retarded kid.

Pooh on all you killjoys. :p What a great game! It went all the way down to the wire, both teams weren't giving up. Congrats to Steeltown.

I played on my pc tonight - what a difference! And I bought a new skin for my deamon lady to wear and I got a lovely tour of Hell :)

Now the weird thing.... notice the odd glow around my face? I do not wear facelights... the maker of my boots thought it was a good idea for the shoes to glow- I never saw it before!

That was the most exciting football game I've seen in a good long while.

However, the Pittsburgh players deserve a huge raspberry, at best.

Their behavior in the fourth quarter was reprehensible.

Punching an Arizona player you've just pushed out of bounds, while out of bounds, who did nothing to you? Then hauling off and punching another one who actually had the temerity to step in and try to break it up?

Taking down an Arizona player and punching him while he's on the field on his hands and knees and can't even punch you back?

Outrageous and both should have been ejected from the game.

Pittsburgh's coaching staff owes some apologies. Fines anybody?

IF I had my way, they'd all be armed with guns, knives & swords :)

I'm delighted to be of assistance for a change - and yes it should be a "permanent" effect.

Wow What a great game! Not only did my very favorite performer play - WITH the E Street Band - but he led off with my very favorite song. It was great!

After that I actually watched the second half of the game - since my husband was serving Indian food in the living room. And it actually got kind of interesting a few times.

From: someone

In the first study, participants were eight male fans attending a basketball game between traditional college rivals. In the second study, participants were 21 male fans watching a televised World Cup soccer match between traditional international rivals. Participants provided saliva samples for testosterone assay before and after the contest. In both studies, mean testosterone level increased in the fans of winning teams and decreased in the fans of losing teams. These findings suggest that watching one's heroes win or lose has physiological consequences that extend beyond changes in mood and self-esteem.
