No Jesse, not really...as Honey & Jerboa later commented, it can take a large amount of time to travel a small distance, I've done it myself over the years :)

Ashe

Sorry if I rubbed the wrong way, not my intent. But 50 miles is 50 miles and takes a minimum amount of time no matter what. The maximum could take much longer. I live in Woodbridge, VA and until they put in a cross street last year it would take 30 minutes up to an hour around Christmas time to drive the 5 miles to my house. Now it only take 10 minutes. But no matter where I have ever lived, it has always taken at least 45 minutes to an hour to go 50 miles. Simple math.

No, No, didn't take it that way at all :) I read her comment wrong...the 50 mile, I read as 50 minutes, lol. Was questioning whether that 50-1hr drive was due to distance or traffic...sorry, my bad :o

Perhaps, but blaming it on being blonde, certainly wasn't a good way to go about making your point. We went through this last week; the color of your hair has nothing to do with your intelligence

I will bow out for now. A comment made with a light heart and levity. Did not mean to bring anything but humor to a thread that has given me laughs many times.

Wow, Honey---you drive an hour each way for work? Is that mostly because of distance or traffic?

Ashe

My commute this morning was three hours.

(growls to self, something about idiotic morons who have no idea or business being outside when it snows; bloody stupid bloody morons; can't imagine how I'd respond if one of those doofus' had crashed into me or something. What's with bloody turning on your hazard lights in the middle of the road, a one lane road and just sitting there? stupid bloody . . . "like oh my gooodd there's white stuff out there! I will sit here until it all melts . . "; course then you get the idiots that go 2 miles per hour up the hill, driving too slow to keep the momentum going and slide off the road. . .(or the idiots that drive too fast, but there weren't any this time, everyone else was driving too slowly for those idiots to have any room to drive too fast))

What I didn't mention was some asshat rear-ended me yesterday. Not enough to do any damage to my car...just enough to give me whiplash. *sighs*

Stop and go traffic, and I guess he didn't think I was really going to stop.

Don't take any notice of Elora Jesse. She may not be the most oversensitive person here because there is lots of competition but she is in the running for the title. I thought the same as you did about Ashe1s comment but I didn't know Ashe1 well enough to know whether she would laugh at herself which she has done already.
