Ugh, I have so much to do tomorrow. This storm is really going to be a pain, especially if it is more on the ice side.

Perhaps, but blaming it on being blonde, certainly wasn't a good way to go about making your point. We went through this last week; the color of your hair has nothing to do with your intelligence ![]() Oh I dunno. I've worked with a few that were good at perpetuating a stereotype. ![]() _____________________

I finished high school in Killeen, TX, which is why I hate Dallas - get contrary when everyone expects you to root for the 'home' team. Which is also why I don't care for the Redskins after living in the DC area for almost 30 years. I would try to hate the Ravens, but my son is a real fan, as is his SO. We're all rooting for the Steelers, figuring the Ravens look better if the Steelers run roughshod over the Cards. Now at home trying to deal with them about to extend the digital TV deadline. WBAL11 has been talking about it for months and now they are going to tack another 4 months on? How long can we hear about going digital before we can assume that everyone knows? I will try to overlook your dislike of the Redskins, since you are rooting for the Steelers. ![]() ![]() |

Well, they used to sell this coke flavored syrup for general use nation wide, until some of the states (like my home state of Kansas) discovered it had a higher alcohol content than some liquors. Talking about a PO'd grandmother... If your kid has a cold, make sure you tuck them in tight. aaand...my older brother had this prescription when he was a kid. ![]() |

Since Lil showed the facelight horror she had to face a bit ago while shopping, I've started noticing more how bad it gets.
Today I think I found an incredible one.... ![]() The woman teleported in, and I thought the sun setting had changed to midday. I zoomed out, and it was still midnight....and my av looked like that. after some investigating I found out who was wearing the facelight....they were 6 metres away!! Who needs one that strong?? _____________________

For those who do not venture across the street:
How many people (in the U.S.) have your name? http://www.dumb.com/namedata/ ![]() As I said across the street, I question the stats big time. Only 131 people in the U.S. with the surname "Boccaccio"??? No way. My RL name: 266 people. That I sorta believe. (of course, the website IS dumb.com....) |

I was in redgrave a few days ago, and rezzing was really slow, it was busy. I noticed just about everyone in the store but me had the little ball thingie hovering in front of them. I guess they all had facelights _____________________

My commute this morning was three hours. (growls to self, something about idiotic morons who have no idea or business being outside when it snows; bloody stupid bloody morons; can't imagine how I'd respond if one of those doofus' had crashed into me or something. What's with bloody turning on your hazard lights in the middle of the road, a one lane road and just sitting there? stupid bloody . . . "like oh my gooodd there's white stuff out there! I will sit here until it all melts . . "; course then you get the idiots that go 2 miles per hour up the hill, driving too slow to keep the momentum going and slide off the road. . .(or the idiots that drive too fast, but there weren't any this time, everyone else was driving too slowly for those idiots to have any room to drive too fast)) ![]() _____________________

What I didn't mention was some asshat rear-ended me yesterday. Not enough to do any damage to my car...just enough to give me whiplash. *sighs* Stop and go traffic, and I guess he didn't think I was really going to stop. ![]() _____________________

Autism Society of America Meets Obama Team
01-27-2009 16:40
NEWS
ASA Meets with Presidential Transition Team Thursday, January 15, 2009 By: Marguerite Colston Administration pledges to work in partnership with autism/disability community On January 2, 2009, Lee Grossman, ASA President and CEO, and Barbara Newhouse, ASA Chief Operating Officer, were invited to participate along with representatives from Easter Seals, TASH, Autistic Self Advocacy Network, Autism Speaks and the Dan Marino Foundation in a meeting with members of President-Elect Obama’s transition team to share policy issues and concerns that are important to the autism community. Kareem Dale, Disability Coordinator/Liaison in the Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs Department, who led the meeting on behalf of the transition team, was clear in his message to all participants that we are a “partner in this Administration,” with this meeting as a “beginning” with more to come as we seek ways to work together within the autism community and across the broader disability community to address disability-related issues. The new Administration seems sincere in its efforts and willingness to listen and act upon our concerns in an effort to improve the quality of life for those with autism and the greater disabilities community. We felt encouraged by the meeting and look forward to continuing to support the efforts of our new President and his Administration. We will continue to communicate updates to you as this work progresses. Please continue, as many of you have, to submit your comments to http://www.change.gov/. Our best chance in over a decade to make a real difference! Please Help Us Make President Obama's Autism Priorities a Reality for All Affected by Autism! Our new president has outlined his national disabilities agenda - and autism is the only condition highlighted specifically! We've never had an opportunity as good as this in recent history... we may never have one like it again. Summary of the Obama Administration's Autism Agenda: 1. Increased funding for research, treatment screenings, awareness, and support. 2. Improved life-long services for children and adults with ASD. 3. Fund the Combating Autism Act to improve federal/state autism programs. 4. Universal safe, secure ASD screenings for infants and 2-year-olds. To read the Autism Agenda in its entirety, visit whitehouse.gov. Now we need your most generous financial support so that we can build upon our incredible momentum and rally the entire country to get behind President Obama's autism goals!
