To be honest- Pearl, Ruby and Opal also sound like older folks names- not that my own is much better- Isabel- eek- it was my granny's name- I swear - parents need to think these things thru. But yeah- Ethel - wow- your poor grans :(

Thing with names though- it sounds right at one point- I went to high school with a couple of kids named Fury and Stormy - I am sure in the 60's this was a great idea... actuall- right now it still sounds cool- but who knows what their grand kids will think of it...

WOW! what devastation. i mean, the fish in the fence.... that leaves all sorts of scenerios swirling around in my mind. whole lives - whole families- displaced. pictures, momentos, memories.... washed away. how many domestic pets perished? where will all the families go. what will they do now. if they can even find it, can they get any of their stuff from those piles? tragic. all of it. so sad. :eek:

also, i saw some foolishness:
OMG this picture is scary and exciting all rolled into one. Has a sort of dread fascination :eek:
It is always excruciatingly sad to hear and see news of so many people displaced and suffering like this.
